Combined S2K and 350Z Dyno Day Nov 22 at Jotech
Hey guys, I know you all had a dyno day recently, but the North Texas S2000 Owners Club is having a dyno day this Saturday, November 22nd at Jotech in Garland. Cost is $45 for 3 pulls with A/F. It will begin at 10 a.m. and go on until all the cars are done.
We started the dyno day as a Forced Induction dyno meet (we will hopefully have 2 different turbos, and 2 supercharged s2000's) and a 2004 Baseline, of course we should have other modifed s2000's there also. It'd be great to have some 350Z's out there, especially the supercharged ones. If anyone can make it, you're more than welcome to post here or on the s2000 website.

daddyz, have you talked to Michael (skidazzle - TT350Z)? I talked with him last weekend and I think he said he really wanted to go to the test and tune to get some numbers for his car, but couldn't because he was going out of town.
Also, I've been to Ennis, and the track sucks there. Hallsville is a much better track, but a much longer drive. I'd personally choose the TMS or the dyno day, or go to another 1/4 mile track.
If you can make it, email me at Malu59RT@aol.com if you need directions and let me know what time you wanna dyno. We have openings after 12:30p.m. if you decide to come.

Inova, I'm going to need confirmation that you are in on the dyno day, and not the track day in Ennis or TMS. What time do you plan on making it to Jotech? I think we'll have openings at 12:30 or 1:00p.m. Also, I noticed you're coming from Houston, that's awesome.

That must be new then. My friend has a 480+ whp Z06 and can't get traction there, but when he goes to hallsville, he gets better traction. Plus most of the times I've been there, it's not very organized. Don't worry, I don't drag race my s2000 (weak differentials) so I have no need to go to the 1/4mi tracks.

You just can't compare tracks based on a street grudge night. In reality, BOTH tracks are probably down from spec on those nights. Also, I have not been to Hallsville for a street car night. I go to both when I run NHRA events. Ennis is a better track. Hallsville has only a points meet also while Ennis has points and national events. I think a lot more people probably go to Ennis on street night and would make the track slick sooner than at Hallsville. They don't re-prep it frequently when all the street dudes go in with treaded tires and eat up the VHT that is put down. Anyways, Ennis is a better facility and is a better track. But I can't compare the two when they are just having street cars run down it. I classify street nights as just goof off nights. They aren't real races so I personally don't care if one has a little better traction than the other on any given street night. Now if I were racing during the NHRA or IHRA season, the track had better be damn good wherever I go. I have turned a tire on more than one occasion at Hallsville in my race car and I can think of maybe once at Ennis. Race day is another life for the track than street night. The staff on street night doesn't care. It is just a pack em in mentality.

Our main focus of the dyno was to see whether the MY 04 S2000 (customer owned) put down more horsepower than the previous model's F20C. We found the numbers to very close, despite another MY 04 (press car) that dyno'd 26 whp more than the previous model. Guess that was a ringer.
Mine dyno'd pretty consistent to before (267-270whp) with the A/F falling off the charts after 8000rpm. Before it's about 11:1. I need some more tuning to get those A/F to high 11's. There's plenty more power to be had, just lots more tuning, and if i feel like it, bump the boost up.
Inova came out, his car put out 242whp, IIRC. From what he says, that's one of the higher numbers for a stock 350Z. That was nice.
The highest dyno came from Fred Perra who laid out 302 whp. he has the Ultimate Racing Turbo kit.
