Talking Bought a new F-150 (Top Speed 65ish MPH)

Ordered it on 26-Jan and got here (Iraq) yesterday, 03-Feb. Sucked I had to wait 12hrs for the battery to charge overnight. I'll be buying a better charger and some extra batteries soon. Already installed the Traxxas fan and RPM front & rear bumpers. As well as the RPM rear mud flaps.

Along with those batteries (still researching) I think I'm going to buy the following;

~ Outerwears Performance Shroud
~ King Headz Traxxas Slash 4x4 Aluminum Motor Mount w/Bearing
~ Traxxas Hardened Steel Front Drive Hub
~ RPM Front & Rear A-arms

It's a bit cold here (Iraq) today. Was bringing tears to my eyes so I only messed with it for about 10-15mins. And well... Trucks are ment to get dirty right?

Good choice. Traxxas stuff is very durable.. I race SC trucks 2wd and 4wd around the country.

Get yourself a nice charger and some lipo batteries and the truck will come to life.

For batteries get some 2s lipos with at least 5000mah. If you want to go stupid fast get 3s lipos ( you will need the bigger battery strap kit to use a 3s).

The electronics are waterproof as they claim, although the bearings that are all over the truck rust very fast when run through puddles.

Good luck and have a blast!

I ordered it from AMainHobbies.com. I wasn't aware till after the fact his parents had a shop. Will do but it might scare all the Camaro owners when a 1/10 scale F-150 pulls on them.

Lipos are great... but just make sure you're safe with them. They can start some pretty bad fires.

Thats a nice order of goodies. The Hyperion is great. Dont be surprised if the LiFe batteries are a tad slower than the Lipo. The LiFe has a bit lower voltage, but the trade off is that they are safer than Lipos. Although, Lipos are quite safe when used properly.

I saw the lower (6.6v) voltage but figured I give them I try. I'll most likely buy one or two more batteries in the future. This was more for more play time. The Traxxas 4 NiMH 7-cell battery just isn't cutting it. Also, gonna have to get at least one 3s!
