I have taken my car there for window streak grease, seat movement, and temporary tire feathering fix. That haven't questioned any of these. I did try to get new front tires out of them, but they wouldn't go for it. You have a more expensive fix then my previous issues, so that might be why they are trying to push you around.

the thing is, they've never questioned the tranny needing to be repaced. they were actually the ones who brought it up first.

my issue is that i've been lied to about several issued, and they've been giving me the run around on several things. now that i've raised a little hell, funny, things are getting taken care of. everything is going to be fixed within 5 hours and NOW they're going out fo their way to see that things are being handled the way they shoudl have in the first place. funny what a call to nna will do.

well, at least things are getting done. and they are washing the car for free.

damn, getting them to wash your car is a big feat, literally. I can't believe how dealerships don't do this as a courtesy like some higher end car manufacturer dealerships do.

Anyhow, glad it is working out, they kind of gave me the run around for a day or two, and I raised some hell and they made it all right. My tranny has been working like a champ since I got it replaced a few months ago.

I've been dealing with Maxwell North off 183 for my repairs and service. My first encounter with them wasn't exacly pleasent, same waiting ordeal while parts were on order. (Z went offroad, oops) In my opinion they didn't do a good job of communicating to me that my car would be sitting in their lot collecting bird **** for a week while it was perfectly driveable. Fortunately my insurance covered the rental. I voiced my displeasure to NNA and the service manager and crew became much more responsive.

I took the Z in for the feathering issue last week, they originally told me they were going to swap the tires left to right and needed the car overnight. This followed by an immediate offer of a loaner car for the evening. I was totally blown away, as Nissan is usually stingy about such things. Moot point as they decided later to order new tires and my car was ready for pickup that evening. I'm going to have the service manager inspect my rims with me BEFORE they mount the new tires this week.

Of course my rearview mirror doesn't rattle according to them, and that suspension clunk is also AWOL when their tech drives it. *cough* BS *cough* Time for a spin with me driving and the tech tagging along as the passenger.

OH MAN, the rearview mirror, don't even get me started on that. Mine is to the point where I, a non-violent person, has almost ripped it off on several occasions in the past few weeks.

Has anyone actually gotten this replaced, mine rattles like a damn morrocca, nobody could deny it?

yeah, i'm still working on that. now that the car is in for repair (again, hooray for the offroad experiences ) i'm just gonna ask them to tag that on to the ins bill. i figure it's more likely to be fixed that way if the ins picks up the tab, rather than the dealership. same thing with THE BIG ****ING DOOR DING AND PAINT CHIPS THEY GAVE ME WHEN THEY REPLACED MY TRANNY. yeah, was washing the car the day after i got it back and i found that nice little present. thye said they would fix it for me (then i wrecked the next day) so they're gonna fix it while it's in for repairs.

DO NOT have them wash your car unless you want swirl marks unless you already have swirl marks and do not care about getting more.

If you are not as picky as some of us on this forum are, then by all means have them wash it. Its your car, I am just giving you a heads up.

Just beware of more swirl marks.

yeah, the ****ers didn't wash it when i picked it up so i ended up doing it myself. it was annoying me to no end that my car was so dirty. i usually wash my car 2 times a week. i'm extremely **** retentive about how my car looks.

i'm still searching for a place that will stip the wax, buff, polish, wax and polish the car. any ideas?

PM, I'll give you my address, you can drive up here, I will give your car the full Zaino treatment, and even steam clean and scotchguard the inside. Not free though, lol

Save your $ and do it yourself. Strip the wax with dawn, re-wash, then claybar, and then wax the car. You will be amazed!

yeah, i've seen everyone singing the praises of zaino on the forum, it's something like $40, right?

well, it's a moot point right now anyways. it's gonna be at least another 2 weeks at the very best, most optiamistic, the glass is half full view point before i even get my car back. *sigh*

i also emailed clear bra to see if they will ship directly to me and who in the austin area might be an authorized installer.

Zaino is well worth it, go here, I got the kit and extra goodies for $110.00. Will last me about a year, since I don't drive my car much and its garaged.

Go to their tips/tricks section for help in detailing.

Luckily I've only had to deal with these guys twice. 2 weeks after buying my Z I stopped by the dealership because my dead pedal fell off while I was driving. It was pretty obvious that the plastic retaining clip had broken and so the pedal would need to be replaced. They insisted I needed to make an appointment and drop the car off to have it looked at even though I was standing there with the pedal in hand. I ended up telling the guy off and walking over to the parts counter and paid $15 for a new pedal. They had the nerve to call me and get mad at my responses on my new owners survey from Nissan which had showed up 2 days prior.

I bought mine from Maxwell Nissan on 183. The salesman was very nice but he wasnt working there a couple weeks after I got my car. I havent had any problems with them. The sale went smoothly, and I got a free oil change and tank of gas out it.
