Angry Dallas Insurance WTF?!?!

So I am already paying $260/mo for my insurance (have a couple of accidents on my record...$hitty luck, dont ask) and my fiance has a perfect driving record, her insurance company tells her that her insurance is going to increase by 35% when she becomes insured up here (currently she is using her College Station address).

My God...our combined monthly insurance for both cars (hers is a POS 2001 Mustang) is going to be over $500 a month! WHAT THE #$*%&?

Any insurance tips? BTW...I live in North Richland Hills. Is it the freaking hail or what?

Just curious, is the TT included in your rates?

I'm 22, paying $160 mo. with coverage similar to Skidazzle.

Your credit has a lot to do w/ your insurance rates. Might want to check into that.

Yikes!
Good thing you don't live in the north east or back in the mts where I was... I think insurance is cheap here (collin county). I am saving ~25% -- still w/ Liberty. But no tickest or accidents.

Just be glad you don't live in LA. When I moved to Dallas I had a Nissan pickup only. My insurance in Dallas for my pickup and Z is $100 more every 6 months than just the truck in LA. So I am on the opposite end of the spectrum. I love Dallas because everything is so cheap here in comparison. Gas for example is roughly $.30 to .40 a gallon more there.
