Default Reflash Q

when u get your ecu reflashed, u then have a static map that the ecu cannot change, correct? it's not like it is stock, where the ecu can "learn" anything, right? i might do that for my n/a mods, then use my safc to tune my nitrous. sound like a good idea? thanks.

the reflashed ecu has its' standard map, which then can change as the car will attempt to adapt to its new 'surroundings' (i.e. your intake, plenum, cats, etc)

typically the reflashed ecu's feedback value (the infamous system control that tries to get the car back to the original a/f map via timing changes) is limited.

your ? of whether or not it it will "learn" anything, well, it will still learn to a certain extent, but the base maps have been changed to be more aggressive and to your benefit.

you're talking about the TechnoSquare L-spec flash, in which they leave the timing and a/f maps alone and allow the user to use a eManage or AFC to tune whatever, i believe the ecu's ability to change what you have dialed in with the piggy back is gone.
