Hey throbbing_Zon I'm not making up these numbers. Do us all a favor. Why don't you call Ted and ask him for yourself? Just ask about the guy with the Ultra Yellow AE I'm sure he remmembers me. I wasn't running the dyno Ted was so he should know the numbers.

 

Dude I didn't assume you were making them up. I'm all for doing some friendly runs with you to see what's going on. Last time my Z was on Ted's dyno it showed 276 whp. That was after we pulled off the Kinetix plenum (288 with the plenum) and put the stock one back on. By the way what's an AE? I hope it doesn't mean you're Z is an Auto. I have '03 Touring 6 speed.

I mean no disrespect, bro. Maybe I don't understand these new 300 hp motors.

No problem. The only thing I know is what Ted told me and the plot he gave me. And no it's not an auto, 6mt. AE means Anniversary Edition. I do know Ted was really surprised at the power it made. I'd like to take it to Z-Car Garage and have Rob give it a test on the Dyno-Jet for a reality check. Like I said I think it could use a little more tuning because even using the A map my mileage dropped a couple of mpg's. Hope to run into you at some of the meets one day.

 

The cams and variable cam timing on both intake and exhaust really helps the rev-ups achieve much better numbers than regular Z's. They take greater advantage of their NA mods...

 

Yeah I've been wanting to run it on a dynojet too. I want to go back to the one I dyno'd on a few years ago. I have my base line on that one.
