Raising the idle to 1000-1200 RPM would not be a problem.

As for VTC limitations, we'd only be limited by the physical hardware and internal clearances. We can remove any programmed limitations in the ECU.

Torque management for the Autos is something we'll look into. Our initial focus will be engine tuning moving of course then to the additional aspects as we continue to evolve the product.

We'll continue to make updates at cobbforums.com if any has any specific questions or suggestions.

Cheers,
Trey @ COBB

Trey, can you program out (disable or effectively disable -- disable buzzer and disable yellow flat tire icon in instrument cluster) the TPS system in the 350Z with the AccessPORT? See my thread at https://my350z.com/forum/autocross-road/213901-how-do-i-completely-disable-tps.html

That would be absolutely awesome if you could!

Just so you all know, we'll be updating the status of this project on our forums. You can visit them at:
http://www.cobbforums.com

There is a Nissan 350Z & G35 section where we're posting info about this and other projects. It's just easiest for us to update that as we go.

Cheers,
Trey @ COBB

Hey Trey, you said the AccessPort would ideally be around 600-650... what would we be looking at for the the StreetTUNER + AccessPORT combo if we want to do our own custom tuning?

I think the only differences i am seeing right now between the the StreetTUNER + AccessPORT Combo and UTEC, is the Launch Control on the UTEC and the Nitrous Silinoid features....

I would also like to see some control over the auto, shift points, launch control, and so on!

What kind of impact can you see for the VVT?

I looked all over the Subaru forums about this product, and I am sold. Where do I sign up? If you have any pre-release promotion for the Z unit, count me in.

Will this thing be able to adjust the sensitivity level of the knock sensor? If not, then that's +1 for the utec and others.

Cam phasing with FI results in 10-12% whp/trq improvements in certain areas of the power curve. It would be a great addition. I havent had any experience with it in NA applications, but TS has done some cam timing adjustments via reflash, and there is "some" additional whp to be had with NA.

Looks like cost between TXS and Cobb's combination of AccessPort and StreetTuner would be comparable. Question becomes the cost of tuning - would you really risk DIY?

What safeguards will we have from self-destructing - typo's in the mapping could be disasterous?

Best thing I like about the Cobb solution, assuming it delivers and works as expected, is ability to revert back to stock without having to take the glove compartment out and remove the TXS... Also, the Cobb product could potentially be used on another vehicle with a license charge if you switch.

As a former Subaru user and Cobb Tuning fan, I am very excited and happy that I can deal with them and use their products again. I think if you head over to nasioc.com you will see an overwhelming amount of positive feedback and results from Cobb.

Guys, I'm pretty sure the MAF is going to max out under moderate to heavy boost, so I don't know that this is a practical solution for FI.

Does anyone know what PSI the max MAF voltage corresponds to? I would imagine that that would determine the limit of its application for FI.
