Default nismo ecu

I have an ECU which was part of the "nismo sports resetting package", and I would like to try it out on my car.

But when I looked at the technical manual, I found out that there is an ECU for right hand-drive cars and one for left-hand drive cars. Since I got my ECU from England and since it is supposed to be JDM, it must be right hand-drive.

Now, what happens if I try to plug it into my left hand-drive car and turn the key? Nothing? Will the engine start? Will the Airbags knock me out and will the car catch fire?

What kind of ECU did you get? is it a Nissan OEM style ECU? If it is like in the US the ECU is matched to the keys and you don't get it matched to the keys the car wont start.

Your Nissan dealer can remarry your keys to the new ECU w/ thier Consult. That is if it does in fact have the NAT sestem like US ECUs.
Please let us know if you get it to work.

I guess I would have answered about the same. Unfortunately my suggestions typically aren't helpful. But thanks for keeping the mockery at an acceptable level.

What's the point of this ECU swap? Is this "Nismo" ECU tuned differently? Eg. is it tuned to better map mods like the RTune cams? If this is what you've got please let me know as I'd be very interested in an "R-Tune" ECU produced genuinely by Nismo!!

I suppose the plugs will be reversed.
