the only downside...i just got my mrev2 so i have to do this all over again. this is a very time consuming proces. took me 7 logs and tunes to get here but having fun

Looking good Road,

What you need to do is have atleast 3 maps made. Use the one you have now and then make one with more fuel and one with less fuel.

Once you have that, head to the dyno and see truely where your car makes more power. You can have the dyno operator do a overlay of the three dynos graphs to see where in the rpm band you make the most power with the 3 different maps. Then you can adjust from there.

good idea....the car is running really strong now especially after adding in the timing. if i do get to the dyno, i may have my tuner just do the tuning. he whipped out his own map from scratch in less than an hour and had it running perfect. i wish i had the ability to do that...but he has been doing this for years. i don't know if i have the patience to do this all over again.

its kinda like getting your car washed, going home and then doing the fine detailing necessary to get the car looking showroom.

i am going to see how far off i am after adding the mrev2. if its way off i am having my tuner go to work...then fine tune from there until it is absolutely perfect.

i must say though, this has been a great addition to the car. you have so much control and you can always keep improving your tune and mods given the time. i have still not decided whether or not to add my pop charger...thats another reason for me not getting to the dyno right away.

mrev2 added...yes, i did need to add fuel but not too far off since i already have the crawford upper.

i have it down now to where i can pull some runs, do a replay, pull over and adjust the fuel map and hit the road again. this is much easier than coming home, tweaking, going back out, etc.

the logger is very useful when you have a tuner pro + utec....shows all the a/f, rpm and timing info and more which is needed to tune on the fly or on the dyno.

i can also look at my tuner while making runs to see what the af is and and what rpm...only if open road...which is never in this town. that is another quick way to see where you need to adjust. the fine tuning can be done with the logging once you get close to your target.

i will post up final log when i am done tuning and then take it to the dyno.

still have pop charger waiting to go in as well...but i am liking the stock airbox now...seems to have better throttle response.

With the price of UTECs coming down by the day, you can't go wrong anymore. Got mine with all the goodies plus the Tuner Pro-Bosch for just under $1k.

Yea thats a smokin deal..

Wired, I would give the EU a shot, if you dislike it, you can always sell it here and get the UTEC. We can all help you tune too..

Got the UTEC, switch, and sensor new from a vendor here. I think i got the deal i did because i bought a bunch more things from him. Then, i found my Tuner Pro-Bosch brand new on the Evo boards. For some reason, those guys buy the Tuner's up like candy and then never install them?? I think there are 2 or 3 dudes trying to get rid of theme as i type this? Bought mine for $230 shipped! (If anyone is interested in getting one, i can help you. Got a strong Trader rating on that board as well and have bought nearly $10k in parts for my Evo as well as univeral things for my 350.)
Anyway, i'm hoping to get all these things installed tonight or tomorrow? I still have my motor on an engine stand waiting for some gaskets. I don't really need the motor in to install my EMS, but my garage is a mess with parts strung all over the place. Turbo here, turbo there... Pipes and oil pans all over, fuel system parts, etc etc... Can't pull my car into the garage untill i get it cleaned up a bit. Plus.. IT'S FREAKIN SNOWING!! Makes pushing my motor less car around with out help a little harder.
So, as soon i get the motor fired up (crossing my fingers for friday), i'm hoping to at least attempt a log at idle (is that possible?) and make sure i'm reading correct A/F and such. Maybe copy and paste that info here so you guys can help a brotha out Need to get on a dyno ASAP! I can't wait! BOOOOOOST!

Oh, one more thing. I sent a picture to RoadWarrior of my Tuner. I'm not sure if i got everything that's included? I did some searching around and people keep talking about blue and white wire for power, but mine are black and red? Can anyone tell me if this everything i'm suppose to have? The dude i bought it from is going to call me later today to make sure everything is straight.

Question: once you drill a hole and weld the wideband bung into the exhaust,

how do you route the wideband wire into the cabin (through the firewall)...

Do you somehow attach it to the stock wiring harness or do you drill a seperate hole in the firewall?
