confused JWT TT KIT?
Ok, i looked on the site, looked through the install manual and i must be missing something. Does the JWT kit come with a flashed ecu or is it the tunable FMU? Just curious if i will have to trash it for a utec or fcon when i get the engine build so i can up the boost?
I know most people will say to get the fcon anyways.. and when the funds are available im sure i will. but i like to plan ahead.

you can't buy their kit and install it yourself, it has to be installed by a qualified dealer. They will help you choose what management to use. Otherwise, the JWT kit comes with an SS box which has proven to be pretty sufficient.

i know the kit is relatively new.. so while im saving money and making decisions this winter ill watch and see what people do. but like i said in another thread.
Im having trouble justifying the jwt kits cost when the greddy leaves me money to play with other things. and i cant find a complete parts list so i dont know what all it comes with.. people say its complete but is it anymore complete than a greddy if im doing internals and upgrading later? i dont think it is. plus the greddy is good for more power.

majik, again, you don't need a parts list. JWT's kit is ONLY installed by approved vendors, only the best in the country. If you look at any threads by ANYONE with a JWT kit, you'll never find any rants or complaints. It may be more expensive than the Greddy kit, but you're comparing journal bearing, old school turbos with a kit you have to PAY EXTRA for the intercooler and good management, for a JWT kit which essentially makes the car feel like it came twin turbo stock.

yah, had it broken down in another thread.. basically for stock the JWT is superior.. if the motor is going to be built for big power.. the jwt would cost less initially, where the greddy would cost more intially. but it would come out about even later. and with the jwt it should be good for my power goals later plus earlier spool. also if i ever required more power.. im sure it wont be long before people make an upgrade kit or whatever to put JWT's 6 series turbos on the same kit. just like the z32 guys.

VRT and JWT are already doing upgraded Turbos in the way of 700BB's and producing some good numbers.
The JWT adjusts fuel with a rising rate FPR, and the SS box retards ignition timing. It's a good setup for the mild power levels its intended for..and a stock block. The kit is good for 530whp, according to Jim Wolf himself, and the 700BB upgrade pushes that to 700whp.
If the FPR is not fixed in the JWT-TT, but variable (rising), is a return fuel system as helpful with that kit, particularly for idle issues? (i.e. does it drop fuel pressure at idle). I'm sure the regulation properties of the return system will still be of benefit.
I'm thinking that a return fuel system, UTEC, and JWT S2 cams would be the best upgrade options for this kit...
