Hey Everyone!
Got a small issue...So we decided to go for a trans swap on a Z. We threw in the TH400 trans but my question is that is the ECM going to react very different with a complete different trans? Is there anything that you guys have heard of with this issue? I would call NIssan but they would probably wonder why on earth am I putting a GM trans on a VQ..lol.. PLease help!

yeah, you wont have any issues with the tranny BUT and i mean BUT
make sure the tranny is lined up true with the block, dont trust the company that made the adapter plate, dont even run the car if you didnt see if it is true with in less than a thousandth...
you will regret it later
also, VERY important is to check the clearance on the flexplate to make sure its between 1/16th and 1/4 inch.
dont over look these things and just throw it on...
good luck, the only issues through the ecu would be the start switch that the clutch has to be pushed down to start the car. thats it...
also, the TH400 is way way softer on the axles, i was pushing close to 800-850 to the wheels with 22 psi and 150 shot on stock axles..
