Default Utec Delta Arrives !!

Read about it in I believe the new issue of Turbo (either that or Modified, but I'm pretty sure it was Turbo) magazine. Did some trolling around the web . . . .sounds good.

This is what I've obtained:

The UTEC Delta is a new concept in plug and play 350Z engine management. Delivering the power and control of a stand-alone engine management system with the convenience and tuning ease of a piggyback system. The UTEC Delta enables complete programmable control over ignition timing, fuel, and boost, while allowing the factory ECU to maintain control over tedious and mundane functions that make the car drivable on a daily basis. Functions like cold start, hot start, intake temperature compensation, AC compensation and closed loop fuel control signals are all managed by the factory ECU reducing your tuning time significantly while enhancing daily drivability. Spend your tuning time doing what we all like to do – making your 350Z faster!
  • Plug and Play
  • Fuel, Ignition and boost are fully user-tunable
  • Five user selectable maps plus stock mode and Security/Valet mode
  • Rev Limit control
  • Advanced Knock Control
  • Data Logging
  • Built-in Solenoid driver
  • Built in shift light driver
  • Drag racing launch contol
  • Free software upgrades via our website
  • Allows you to maintain OBDII compliancy

Price: $1,499

it is the same unit.......they are just moving away from having the direct interface. From what I remember, the Deltas will be easy to mount ina remote location due to now using a wiring harness.

I was gonna say, other than a few minor (IMO) changes, this looks like it wouldn't have any added benefit for my needs. I do like the packaging better and think that would lead to an easier install, but meh, the hard part has already been done with my Utec.

I didn't know you guys were taking your 6 cyl. out for a 4 cyl.

This is actually for our current 4 cyl. applications not for our Z UTEC or 6 cyl vehicles.

Thanks,

Jermaine~
