My only engine mods are the MREV and 5/16 plenum spacer.
Rob at ZCG recommends that I get a unichip but I prefer the UTEC which he doesn't seem to want to be tuning.
He said it could be done with the Apexi AFC too but it cannot adjust timing?

What would you guys recommend?
It's sad there's no where to go besides ZCG for tuning in norcal.

w/ unichip you'll have to keep going back for adjustments. w/ utec you could learn to adjust on your own. you decide

 

uhm because its making pinging sounds. Both mechanics concur that it is pinging and the worse part is its pinging seriously.
I drive a 05 revup G35C which is the 06 revup on the 350z.

 

Get a utec and diy!! Get a base map from txs.. then go from there!

cloud, PM bythabay (eugene) on g35driver. he had a revup 05 or 06 with major pinging problems too. he had some resolution from infiniti (new cats i think?) and it reduced but did not eliminate the pinging.... if you search for threads by him you will see an account of his experience

 

hmmm, i think i'm pinging (which is why I was curious how they knew).

i haven't tried resetting the ecu or clearing the learned fuel settings - i don't know why i didn't think of this before?
