Request - UTEC Log
Anyone have a 4th gear pull on a boosted VQ35?
I would like to simply compare someones RPM curve to mine.
Mine jumps around and isn't smooth at all. I'm not sure if it is the resolution of the UTEC or something more serious.

Yeah, why not tune it yourself?
I have another UTEC on the way, TurboXS has looked at my logs and they think it might be a bad unit. But, I got to thinking and I would like to compare it to someone elses. I'm not totally convinced that the problem isn't with the car.
My tune doesn't look bad at all. My a/f ratio is fairly smooth (could be better, I will admit, but I've been working on other things), and my timing is conservative.

Come on, I know someone has a UTEC log on their computer somewhere!
I, unfortunately, delete them after a certain period of time so I don't get too many old logs to get confused with my new logs. I wish I would have kept some now....

Your graph looks like the other guys - goes lean, goes rich, then smooths out. I'm 99.9% confident that this is a UTEC issue. However, unlike mine, the two other graphs that I'm plotted have very smooth RPM curves.
The only thing I've noticed is that I'm at about 97%TPS and you guys are both 101ish. I can't imagine that the car would hesitate because its only at 97% throttle though. Tonight I will make an adjustment on my TPS so that it will read above 100% and see if I can get some good graphs.

When your logging, you gotta MASH the gas pedal to the floor.. You have to make a conscious effort to push as hard as you can the entire pull so you are at 100+ TPS.. With the G35's you have some extra padding down there and that can hinder you from going 100+. You can get down there and remove some of it as it will be easier to get you there.. I know Jeremy has done that but I just push really hard and get my 220 lbs. of polish blubber into it.. Let me know if you need anything else bro..

Your graph looks like the other guys - goes lean, goes rich, then smooths out. I'm 99.9% confident that this is a UTEC issue. However, unlike mine, the two other graphs that I'm plotted have very smooth RPM curves.
The only thing I've noticed is that I'm at about 97%TPS and you guys are both 101ish. I can't imagine that the car would hesitate because its only at 97% throttle though. Tonight I will make an adjustment on my TPS so that it will read above 100% and see if I can get some good graphs.
Thanks a ton for posing your logs, they are a big help. Later tonight, once I'm home, I will compile your graphs, the guys above graphs, and my graphs so you all can see my issue I'm dealing with here.

I was thinking on the way home though, that the UTEC doesn't tune off of TPS, so that shouldn't matter, should it?
Jeremy recomended that I remove some carpet, but I have yet to do it.

Mine is obviously different! TurboXS is sending me a new UTEC, hopefully that will fix the issue, but if it doesn't anyone got any ideas?

Well, its hard to say because the UTEC loves to 'look ahead'.. The UTEC basically looks at the load and rpm columns and goes from there..
When I tune, IMO there are 2 ways you gotta do it.. WOT and road tuning..
Since we are not WOT all the time you gotta log when you are rollin around town because you are only going to get into the 30-50% load colums for a short period of time.. If your going to drag race, then tuning WOT on the open highways is the way to do it or a dyno..
When your road tuning you will have a mile long log and half of it will be the 0% column so just delete that part of it and tune the 10-50% columns accordingly..
