i reflashed my car with my old setup but changed my hfc/hks exhaust to tp/stillen exhaust. if your car is running lean or rich would that trigger a CEL? im sure its not the o2 sensors cuz i reset my ecu and the light goes away for a couple days and then turns back on again.

It's best to get the exact code to see what's tripping the CEL. Otherwise, you'd just be guessing & it could be completely unrelated.

Also - Don't assume it's not an 02 sensor... When I had my hi-flow cats installed, the shop stripped one of my 02 sensors , so I ran without it for a few days 'til I could find a new one... It didn't trip the CEL for a day or so after I reset the ECU. Then I installed a new 02 sensor - no more CEL.

Just because you reset the ECU the code is still there. After "X" amount of time (drive cycles) if the problem is not fixed the light comes back on. With TP's I'll bet you it's because of your O2 sensor. You can get non-foulers for it and that will probably fix you up. Better yet go get the code pulled from your friendly Autozone and know exactly what it's from. And it's free too!!!!!!

Normally the car would go into limp mode, but in your case it would be gimp mode.
