hey uprev do you have maps for a stock G? I was thinking of getting Osiris for my first mod since it will make all future mods more beneficial, and just wanted to see if I could improve on stock with this.

I don't know that Shawns map could be distributed directly. I'm pretty sure that when he did my car (on the dyno) he started with a baseline version of his economy map and modified it for my car.

I wont speak for Shawn - but when he tuned my car I asked for 87 octane “econo” map as well as 91 performance, race gas, valet and 2 step launch map... I knew I would never run 87 octane (only 91) but thought it would be a nice option for future re-sell…
I noticed that fuel economy seemed to benefit when in the "econo" map (even with 91 octane)... I was calling it econo because of the ability to run lower octane fuel - then the slightly better mpg was noticed...
When I mentioned it, Shawn began testing with his car and realized better mpg...
So the "econo" tune isn’t necessarily an off the shelf map... its just a much less aggressive tune (specific to your car) than a performance map.
If you have identical mods to an existing tune I suppose the same values could be written to your ECU and considered "econo"... but just like getting max performance - in order to have a car specific "econo" map you should get dyno tuned or send your data logs to UpRev for custom map.

For some reason about 3 tanks of gas into the tune, my miles per tank went from 330 to 280... anyone got any theories on what's wrong? I drove more aggresively when i got 330miles... i tried driving granny style and still i can't get more than 280miles per tank.

I can tell you - in my car, even if my Grandma drove in performance map the car would get **** mileage... in "econo" mode it would be reasonable (in fact I'd have to ask her for pointers on patience)...
It’s hard to get decent mpg when you are after performance. Funny how you nned to make an effort to get decent mpg… for me I go to econo on extended fwy trips when traffic is heavy and no room for “fun”… it certainly makes a difference from performance map.
* I should state that I don’t drive the car much, so my observations are from a very limited amount of data…

Question for the UpRev guys.
Can you give us a detailed description/features of OSIRIS 2.0 (tuner version)? There are people waiting to make a decision between engine management. If we get everything it'll be able to do, and it's capabilities, and/or limits in one place, we should be able to make up our minds. Thanks.

Few questions since flashing my ECU.
1. Do you lose everything the ECU learns when switching between maps?
2. Does the ECU learn for closed loop and open loop?
3. You can only E-Tune for open loop correct?
4. The Tuned E-Tune seems to run pretty rich. Is that for safety reasons between various cars?

2. Closed loop is where the learning happens, from what I understand. You set your open loop numbers and the ECU does its best to hit them.
3. I believe the ECU goes into open loop at WOT.
4. Take some dyno runs and they will pull some fuel out and send you a new map.

Our stance on that is if you don't already know what you're doing as far as tuning, you shouldn't be doing it anyway because it's not exactly a safe thing to just jump into. Secondly we have customers asking us what a DECAL is on the order form... So it's obviously not for every customer.
We want to make it a usable system for the End User that does understand what they are doing, but we want to make sure that our Pro Tuners have the ability to go above and beyond as an upgrade point. Also the support for the End User Tuning will be from the Pro Tuners only, so they have to be able to use their tools to fix any issues that may arise. Obviously the Pro Tuner will charge for this support, but thats no different than any other tuning system out there currently.
More details will show up on the new site we're having built right now. Should be up and running shortly.

As far as Shawn Church's economy tune. You'd have to ask him about pricing on that. Anything the Pro Tuners create is up to them to sell and distribute. We don't take any maps from them, it's their IP.
We do offer economy tunes, they are not perfect, but they lower the RPM limit, and run a slight bit leaner than stock. Still safe but not performance. You manage to see real economy gains when you start to drive differently, and thats what out economy map does, reminds you to drive better.
We haven't a test facility to do economy tunes per se. So we don't have the absolute best economy maps, nor do we have "MPG numbers". We have a large group of users getting better MPG just using the performance tunes we offer. It's not so much that they are better performance, but that the tunes are making the motor run more efficiently. So you can have both performance and better mileage, if the tune is more efficient than stock and you're not driving all Fast & Furious.
