I personally would like it have all the same items as the Pro Tuner version, but it have it limited to only one license for end users ECU. This way your self tuners can do everything them self, and if they wanted could take it to a Pro Tuners shop and have then Tune it

Now the Pro Tuners can tune anyone’s Nissan, and can charge for that tune. There is no license installed on the Nissan that was tuned. This way that end user can not just make a cable and tune it. That would be a safe guard for the Pro Guys.

From my reading, yes it's out there, but it's a beta. How to get it. I have no idea other then to ask Nicely.
I to would would like to have it, but I am hoping the end user version will be out soon. I know Jared has been busy trying to get it done.

And another question while I'm at it for the experts What target a/f does the stock ecu aim for? Does it vary at times if you're beating on the car hard as the 'intelligent' ECU tries to adapt to the driving style?

Usually we're 1-2 weeks delay on eTunes. You get three free eTunes, after that they are $50ea. At times we may get an eTune out in 24hours, other times it mat take a month, it just depends on how many requests we get. They take use anywhere from an hour to 3 hours to adjust and that adds up quick.

Depends on the year, the model, and what emissions update has been done on the car. You'd be better served asking Jared that kind of question, he should have a pretty good idea of what it is for your car with the newest emissions update.

Will the end user version be able to eliminate CEL codes? I have been compiling a small list of ones I want never to show up again (I have both Osiris and the Haltech running JWT TT 700bb on a built engine and didn't want to bug you with an eTune again till I had a complete list).

they always said they may change the free etune part. back in april:

There will be a good balance between the current product and what you get free and what you will be able to do with the end user tuning capability.

Trust me, we like free things as much as anyone (I never pass up a free hamburger for instance). But if we're backed up 4 weeks or more, those free eTunes aren't helping anyone.

Oh and we won't just cut it off, there will be a transitional time between 1,000,000 free eTunes for everybody and whatever limit we decide on for the future free eTunes. It'll probably be a number of months so don't worry about it yet.
i guess that time has come

All things must come to an end. It's not been a problem of people taking advantage of the eTunes for the most part. There are a rare few that are constantly sending in logs and requesting eTunes, but most people only ever request a single eTune. We wanted to make sure we don't get people that take advantage of our generosity, but at the same time not take away our best gift to our customers.

3 is a good solid number, it gives people the ability to adjust the base tunes to work best with their car. It also for the most part it will allow them to do an upgrade at some point. If people ever run out of free eTunes we'll still have them available for a reasonable price. We spend between 1.5 and 3 hours on an eTune, so multiply that by 3 and then multiply that by the number of people just on my350z.com that have bought our system... It's a very time consuming proposition. Try getting Microsoft to spend 4-9 hours helping you with windows for free sometime....

We just want to make sure we have availability to help customers and also advance our product. We've already had to hire one person part time to do the free eTunes, we expect before the end of the year that it will become a fulltime job of its own here.
