I got a reflash from Technosquare beacause I was running 14.1s across the band after my DC header install. Tadashi didn't dyno tune it but road tuned it with a mobile afr reader to richen up. Driving it for a while I do notice an improvement in throttle response. The power delivery is smoother where as before it was choppy where it would seem like it was going to fall in it's face. Tadashi was great and inspected the car for any leaks (actually found one bolt that was loose on the header connection to the cats). He also found that I was detonating and pulled one of my spark plugs to find some aluminum residue. Another weird thing is that he was using an OBD II reader and found a knock sensor code...but I have no CEL. Tim of West Covina says I'm okay though since the ecu just stores a knock code whenever it does experience knock. He told me unless it trips a CEL then I'm fine. Also now, whenever I start the car it shuts down. But starts after I crank it again. It seems the ecu was cleared and is getting used to the intake again? Tadashi says to wait a couple of days to see if the ECU learns it. Hopefully it goes away.
Anyone have any of these issues? I am pretty much happy with the reflash and I think I should have gotten it sooner. It's too bad cams are so expensive...I woud have slapped some in before the flash. She's already got 54K+ miles on her so I think she'll only be around 1-2 more years.
I'll see if I can dyno to show the before and after effects of the reflash.

The car will run rough for a few days, but shouldn't have problems starting. I had TS do my cams too, no problems starting, but they didn't like my AAM spacer as they said it tends to leak as the plenum flexes. The air enters through the screw holes on top. I put extra washers and silicone sealer and seems fine now. I did have a larger plenum leak once when my gasket was folded in the back and i didn't know and car ran rough and stalled. Anyways, thumbs up for TS, they do great work!

I drive the car on weekends so i think i am not getting enough time to have the ecu adjust to the idle...(i think i only have 100 miles with the TS reflash). I'll give her some proper mileage this weekend and if it's still doing it by next weekend then i'm going to have to take it back to tadashi to adjust the idle.
wished i could have done cams but it was just too expensive.
the TS reflash actually worked fine right off the lot. not rough at all. the power is now smoother and when you punch it it doesn't seem like it stumbles and falls flat on its face like it's pulling timing.
it's just a little annoying (and a little embarrassing) to have your car die at start up and have to try twice to get it to fire
