Forgive my ignorance but what is the defference between this and a reflash of the factory ecu? I am currently looking to do a reflash to my 03 and I thought that it did exactly what this is doing.

Completely different ballgame... this is a standalone, meaning you have complete control over fuel, ignition, and cam timing. Before we go too off topic, I will just direct you to the main thread describing the Haltech Platinum pnp standalone, https://my350z.com/forum/product-announcements/308408-injected-performance-brings-you-haltech-platinum-pnp-standalone.html

Hal might know more about tuners in the Arizona area. As you can tell, I'm very happy with mine.

The Haltech is a complete standalone fuel, ignition and cam timing controller, but leaves the drive-by-wire system up to the stock ecu. So, on the older cars that are fuel cut only, it is no problem to rev as high as you want (we have Haltech Platinum customers revving over 8000rpm all day long) - but on the newer ones with fuel and throttle body cut, it would require a reflash to keep the throttle body open at high rpm.

Info about the Haltech is helpful to everyone.

Just goes to show the people who consist of "everyone" don't know ****. Excellent work, though it has been known for a while that Standalone Ecu tunes can net impressive power.

My posts about upping the RevUp rev limit were mainly informational. It seems that people are interested in raising the rev limit.

I'm not a tuner... and obviously not as reputable on this forum as the primary posters here... however, I am interested/concerned about the aggressive nature of this tune... are the stock internals able to hold up to the limits set in the original few post examples?...
No offense to anyone but its pretty easy to squeeze power out of our motor by getting real aggressive with timing and rev limits… I suppose even getting frisky with cam angles (beyond my comprehension) would yield higher numbers… but how much reliability is there with this apparent gain?

Where do you see any details about the tune posted? How do you know its aggressive? Timing changes on these cars NA do not yield major power changes. As for the revlimiter, ...people have run 7000-7200 on non revups without incident. I ran my original motor this high for several years without a single problem.
What you are seeing is the comparison of a mail order tune, that was never done on the car (essentially, a best guess) to a tune done on the car with a standalone - it's apples to oranges

I remember Jeremy found out that the OEM intake gave the most horsepower when he tested intakes on his NA motor. I clean the K&N filter and MAF sensor every once in a while to keep things ship shape. It doesn't seem to be hurting anything.
I'd be happy to give you a ride the next time I'm over in Orlando...
