Since the ECU is bascially a computer. Why hasn't a program been made to take over the dutys of a human tuner.

1)No 2 cars are the same, regardless of similar set-ups.

2)People like customizing their set-ups to their driving habits. Making it pointless.

Maybe this is abit over your head. The point I was tring to explain was that when you run your car on a dyno you set Fuel, ign curve and so on to keep the motor running happy. All this is manually put in by a human. Now what if a program was made to adjust those curves while your on the dyno?SO basically you set in a basic map,run the car then let the Computer do the adjustment and figuring.

It has, just not for the Z/G. The RX7 guys and 1zz/2zz toyota owners utilizing the Apexi power FC have had this ability for about two years now. It references a base map for a variety of parameters, gets feed real time inputs values and calculates the percentage change necessary to maintain the preset values, and then loads the new numbers into the map(s) and does this continuously, just like a closed loop oxygen sensor output manipulates your injector duty cycles. Im so jealous-
