Default Who is using Osiris Tuner?

Anyone currently playing with osiris tuner?

I know there was a nice collection of folks using UTEC to self tune before in their NA cars and was wondering if the popularity of osiris tuner has grown to a point where there was a good base of information already out.

Been searching and haven't found anything.

There are a lot of shops using it and a few individuals. In my opinion, it is quite a bit more complicated that the UTEC interface.

I think the self-tuner market will expand rapidly once UpRev gets their web forums up.

perhaps we can get a webforum going here for their product since they are sponsors and all.

maybe some admin reading this will take that idea and run with it.

I'd love to start tinkering with it and documenting stuff for other amateurs with NA to learn.

And I've been messing around with it on a FI car with the PMAS.

It is more complicated than the UTEC, but once you figure out how the MAF table, scalers, and base fuel schedule work, it really isn't too bad.

I have found that advancing the intake cams earlier really wake the turbos up a lot faster.

It would be great to be able to compare notes in our own forum, but I don't think there would be enough activity to even warrant it at this time.

It would be even better to get the shops tuning with Osiris to chime in and share info.

We're working on it. We are trying to use a universal login set up for the entire website though for convenience and that is taking a while.

I have been playing and have a ok grasp on the tool. I am just not a tuner. So I am learning. I have not saved any of my playing to a ROM file. I just get into RTT an see what things do at different RPM's. I cannot wait till more people with experience start using the UPREV tool and there form is up. This will help allot of people out.

I am not understanding:

Why a universal login? Why not use something like:
http://www.webwizguide.com/webwizforums/
129.99 per Single Instance License.
Or how about even useing vBulletin.

We're going to be using VBB. But the login will carry over from the blog, to the forum, to the wiki, to the webstore. Makes it easier for us in the long run.

Sort of, you'll end up with a new login/password that will get you all that, including the beta stuff.

I'm currently looking into using the Osiris. I understand that you can have multiple maps depending on driver preference and "mood," which was said to be easily switchable through the 350z cruise control. My question is, how can you select maps if you have a base with no cruise control? I know the Utec has a remote map selector which makes it convenient for us base owners, but how about Osiris?

I believe you are out of luck for map switching. Map switching is not needed for your 'mood' or spirited driving - you can use your foot/throttle for that. Map switching is nice for things such as Valet map (with speed/rpm limiter) or a race-gas map.

Cipher RTT (Real Time Tuner) is part of the Osiris Pro Tuner package.

You have to be a registered user of the Osiris Tuner.
I bought mine when the first came out with it.
You must have Osiris Tuner to get Cipher RTT. See Link Below http://www.uprev.com/products.php#product_osiris

then Click Osiris Tuner. This will show you everything.

The Cipher RTT allows you to do "Real Time Tuning". There is also another Ver called Pro tuner. Thats want you get if you become a Pro Dealer. See them here. http://www.uprev.com/dealers.php

The current end user Ver of RTT That I have is (1.12N). Now also understand there are two Versions of Cipher. There is the Normal Cipher Data & Diagnostics 1.03 which is what is sound like you have.
The only way to get Cipher RTT is to get Osiris Tuner.

Hope this helps some

RTT is only for the Pro Tuners, and a select few of our development people like you.

Osiris Tuner at this time does not offer Real Time Tuning.
