UNICHIP TUNER! Who? Where? Help
I need a tune and I have the Unichip that came with my APS TT Kit...
Anyone know any Unichip tuners in Texas? Oklahoma? New Mexico, Etc...
The only one I've found so far is Japtrix in Florida...

Why would you tune the Unichip? We can tune it properly using our software on your stock ECU. Trust me, we've done enough of the swap overs to know.
You should stop by on Sunday during our Morning After Event and talk to Jared, or Jon from Protech or Omar from Streetscene or Kean from Boost Logic. They can help explain why entry level piggy backs don't work well with the Nissan/Infiniti ECUs. Plus we'll have free food and plenty of other cars to check out.

Gotcha, I would guess that the way they ship it should be somewhat close then. I'd say you're better of saving the money for a proper tune. Using the piggy back systems is a loss leader in the long run. It's generally cheaper to spend a few hundred for a proper tune, than a few thousand for a motor rebuild.
I've been speaking with a guy at AAM for a bit now. He said an AAM reflash would help with some of the issues I'm having like idle. He told me that it's a common problem with all TT kits and the reflash fixes it 90% of the time...
any input?

A generic flash can bump idle up, and remove speed limit etc, but it's not generally a great idea on a forced induction car. Unless obviously that base tune has been tested by the manufacturer on a few different vehicles and they know they have it right before they ship it off to you.
Is AAM offering to have you send off your ECU, flash it and have you run that flash update along side the Unichip? If so I'm really unsure of your gain.
We can do a full dyno tune uincluding Osiris, negate the Unichip altogether, make sure the car idles properly, runs like it should, and remains safe for somewhere between $1100 and $1600 depending on dyno time. Where are you located? If you're close enough come down Sunday and lets check the car out. Jared can give it a complete once over and give you the best overall options for your car and your financial situation. And if you want second opinions, Pro Tech and Boost Logic will be here also.
I live in Killeen but I won't be available this weekend.
The flash is $600 so I'm not so keen on it. I'd prefer a proper tune but they are telling me the flash is a suitable fix until I can afford a Haltech. I have to be honest when I say I'm not keen on paying $1100-$1600 either though unless it's toward the Haltech. It's like paying for the something twice in a short time period. I'm going to think things through and reevaluate my financial situation. I may be able to afford the Haltech and tune.

Haltech is a pretty awesome standalone unit, feature wise it's the best I've seen on these cars. If you need those kind of features, then give Hal@Injected a call.
If you're not going built motor and want a fun daily with some good reliable power, Osiris is more than powerful enough to be used by OEMs and untold numbers of satisfied customers, and we're local.
