Default Help needed.... Updated with UpRev info!

Hi All,

Just wondering if any of you tuners out there could have a little look at my numbers and see if you could spot something that could do with a change...

Original dyno was with a K+N typhoon (with box and scoop) and 5/16th Plenum spacer (isothermal spacer not fitted)

Dyno 2 was done with...

K+N Typhoon (without box but with scoop)
1/2 inch throttle body spacer
5/16th Plenum spacer (isothermal spacer not fitted)
Fujitsubo Manifolds (Headers)
Kinetix Hi-Flow cats
5Zigen y-pipe
5zigen pro-racer Exhaust

Unichip used... I know lots of people dont like but instead of saying its the unichip, please can someone give me something "constructive"!! This wasnt run on the base map, it was tuned...

Car was fuled with Shell Optimax 98 RON (UK 98 RON!) on both occasions....

Dyno...

I know there is an increase but in the real world on the road there was no marked difference between myself and an owner that we had tested before and I would have thought I would have had a noticable difference... Perhaps I was running through the revs too much ie taking it to 6250 rpm before change rather than at the 4700 rpm where the torque dropoff starts.. Pretty hard to do if your cruising at 3000rpm booting it and then changing at 4700rpm!! The rolling start was at 50mph... still havnt tried to a run from stop...

Thanks in advance for any (constructive) help anyone can give...

Cheers

Mark

I see some pretty big gains there. Look at all that power you made in the torque curve, I mean you gained 30+ft lbs throughout the mid RPM band. If you can't feel that, maybe you need a TT setup?

To be honest I didnt really notice it, but I thought I would be getting more of a feeling than I did... The only reason for getting it chipped was to get more from the mods I have bought and it dosnt seem to have done that... Mid RPM is very short and am not used to shifting that quick, more taking it towards the end of the rev range.... Perhaps I should be trying to change my driving style first!

Your gains were significant in lower and mid-range rpm's. I'm sure there is a huge difference in pull if you were pushing her through 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear.

Keep in mind your gains radically changed from 2800-4600. Try pulling from the dig...she'll feel different I'm sure.

Think they are the 2 horizontal lines at the bottom of the graphs.

Possibly but since there is nothing to reference them against there is no way of telling. Also there is usually a slight slope to an AFR line and those are both rather perfectly flat.

idk if i read your post right but why would you not shift right before redline every time? like around 6500 or more. short shifting will make your car slower.

and torque doesn't win races. torque is only for getting the vehicle out of chassi binding situations like comming out of a corner or starting from a dig other then that its useless.
thats why jap bikes rape harlys from a roll but harlys will get a jap bike from a dig.
