Default Is the osiris tune worth it for me at this point?

I was thinking today...with the mods I have (5/16 iso spacer, mishimoto intake, test pipes and turboxs exhaust) is it worth me doing an osiris tune now. I will probably get some long-tube headers installed later on and a better clutch when my old one goes. So wait it out or do the tune...might be the difference of a few months in time...

thanks

Just do it now........get a quick retune (typically much cheaper than initial tune) after the LT's. You won't have to pay the license fee again.....so just do it now.

I would get a tune now. You are probably running very lean right now.

I would get the tune now. The LT headers dont really gain much from what I have seen. You may not even need to re tune depending on your A/F.

i wouldn't worry or think about do or not with your mods. It's just me, i rather do install headers and clutch and do a dyno tune via osiris. But either way it won't hurt you.

A clutch has absolutely no bearing on whether or not to get a tune (unless it is already slipping).....Very, very few companies make true LT headers, and the only ones worth buying aren't on the market (SG). I don't see why you would hold off for headers...they aren't worth it, and the car will benefit more from a tune vs headers while not costing as much.

^its depends on his plan. If plan to do engine works in future, I don't see why headers are not worthy.
(I'm not talking about just a dyno numbers gain)

With his mods, he doesn't really needs tune either. But if he plans to do headers that will save his time. Plus with headers I would do dyno tune than just get a basic support maps.

And clutch, you will feel diff stock vs light weight. If he is going to replace them, why not do before dyno tune? So that way he can compare graph before and after. I understand your point, my point is he is already plan on doing it, I rather recommand to people that do a tune at last.

Thanks for your opinions guys.

The clutch is sort of slipping, I can feel it catch really high on the pedal and it did not do that this time last year, plus I am almost positive its a stock clutch so its right around 6 years old and 56k miles...

As far as headers go, I have seen good results posted with long-tube headers, I will probably grab a pair of time in the future.
