If you can provide more information you will get better answers than just "yes / no". You may start with why you have not enjoyed your car since FI?

Reason i have not enjoyed it is because it just has not ran right since. Been to 3 different shops in the Seattle area and have just had bad experience after bad experience. My last tune got it running ok but still not good.

Engine has been bored to a 3.8 w/ Darton sleeves.. Arias Extreme Duty Pistons, Gtm Rods, Jwt cams, Cometic headgasket, motordyne plenum spacer. CJM return fuel system with 650cc injectors. Currently running UTEC.

So im debating going to Haltech and hoping maybe its easier to tune and i can finally enjoy my car.

I am still curious as to what running "not good" means, but if having it tuned made it better than yes it is likely ems related. The Haltech is far superior to the utec as far as driveability (and everything else for that matter) is concerned, BUT, it requires a competent tuner like every ems. With the right person behind the keyboard, the Haltech can be calibrated to make the car drive like stock with a lot more power.

If there are no good tuners in your area I am available to fly out for a tuning session.

Haltech + Hal= WIN.

With the base map Hal provided the car neede only minor adjustments on the fuel and timing map. The interface is very user fiendly and it is very easy to change thing.

If the manual was a bit more detailed it would help, other than that it is a perfect EMS. My car drives just like stock on steroids.

The obvious answer is yes! Haltech is pretty much better in everyway over the archaic UTEC lol. You can see pros/cons here of the Haltech https://my350z.com/forum/7920369-post6.html

However, if your needs are a little bit simpler, you'd be doing yourself an injustice by not going the factory tuned ECU route - full control over fuel, ignition, engine load scaling, cam phasing, knock tables, CELs etc. Scale for a larger MAF housing for turbo your big turbo setup Only drawback is no integrated boost control but it's more common for aftermarket, stand-alone boost controllers anyway. You can look at Cobb and Uprev products for these options.

If you don't mind the drive down to Portland, perhaps you might consider an AccessPORT. We are offering a free tune with all new AccessPORT purchases. If we can't make more power with our tune on the AccessPORT, we will refund your money, no questions asked. Go to www.cobbtuningsurgeline.com (that is our Portland shop) or call 503-670-9500.

any z's in the seattle area looking to get tuned should go with the Osiris and just get it done at Intec. Lawrence knows what he's talking about, from the sounds of your build it sounds like he should be able to make a metric ton of power.
