For those already running billet rails with the DE kits... what we are making now are complete replacement rails. There was no good way to add dampers to them that we could come up with.

Glex25; first batch should be available some time next week at the current rate. We are making a dozen pairs for now so we can get some feedback. I think 5 sets are already spoken for in backordered fuel systems.
So do I get a set of these rails, for all of my blood, sweat, tears and personal investment over the last year and a half trying to fix the problem? I would like to make big power some day

They will be anodized blue, the whole batch.

I am expecting 3-5 sets to go to members in this thread who are experiencing issues that appear to be related to not having dampers in their fuel system.

I have no use for the old rails anymore, I would just recommend that people sell them. Its not like they are defective or anything, they are still a high quality product. Our new batch will be the first aftermarket VQ rails to include a damper. People have been running for several years without them and most have no issues at all, so I see no harm is selling them.

As for pricing. Well, to be honest, the extra work and taking the step to build a superior product is typically worth a higher cost. However, at this point, I am not planning on increasing the prices of our fuel systems or rails. But, including the required dampers will be optional, at our cost.

For buyers that are upgrading from our first generation rails, there will be a price break. While the logical businessman part of me says this is not our obligation to offer any discount... the customer service side of me doesnt like anyone experiencing a problem that is in any way related to the use of our products, even if it is some sort of seldom occurance where some sort of (currently unknown) outside factors are obviously coming into play. I just want everyone to be happy, and thats why we plan to only offer the dampened rails from now on... just to prevent any possible future occurances.

BTW, no problems with my setup, but I'm only running a measly 550whp...
I had ZERO problems on the stage zero that retained the first damper on the passenger side of the engine. My car ran and tuned perfect. As soon as i switched to the rails i started having huge issues.

Just leave your setup the way it is.

Charles, this is great news. I'm so excited. I'm waiting to get this engine in and hopefully i'll have it running before you finish these rails. I'm going to test my new engine parts with the old rails and if i have the same issues as before i'll buy new rails and test to see if it helps my situation. This makes me excited to drive my car around again!

I looked at your log. Honestly it's hard to get much useful information out of it becuase it is just a bunch of random street driving. Threre are so many transients going on it's hard to tell what is really happening.

Go do another log and follow my instructions.

1. Find a long, flat (or slightly downhill) road with no traffic.
2. Turn off O2 control
3. Accelerate in 4th gear from 1000 rpm to 4000 rpm while holding your boost gauge at -17.5 in-hg as steady as possible.

Then post it and we will discuss.

I just noticed this post. Didn't mean to ignore it. I only get on here from my phone while driving lately so I miss a lot.

When they are ready we will privately discuss

I took it this morning on the way to work

It's hard for me to find time these days but I will try

Usually you feel it harder on the low gears when taking off from a stop and go through the first 3 gears with little throttle.

Sorry for dirtying up this thread some more --

My AAM stage 1 system removes ALL dampers on the stock rails... so should I be able to add them back (with the exception of the one that goes where the return line hooks up)?

I'm not experiencing any insurmountable problem with the rails I have now. I just want to be able to purchase some of the new design with dampeners known to fit that cramped engine bay whenever they are available. Thanks.

I really don't look forward to removing injectors from the rails because I invariably tear o rings, don't realize I have a fuel leak, take everything apart again, get new o rings, and have to try again. Maybe just my bad luck with these machined HKS injectors. Anyone have a source for robust O rings?

Yes the HKS injectors when machined for larger orings are a little struggle to get in because while the groove was made wide enough, it's not as deep as it should be. You have to use a lot of care putting the injectors in the rail or the orings get pinched.

Sounds familiar. I would still like to see a log according to my "specifications".

we finalized the location of the HR dampers and brandon is working on the CAD updates and machine programs. We are still planning to begin the machining this weekend. This is actually quite a bit more work than we original figured on. Probably going to have to make new fixtures for the CNC also.
