Default Buying an used Osiris Tuner Version?

Does anyone know the process on how to uninstall the license and transfer to the new owner?

Can the current owner unmarried (uninstalled) the license from their car ecu and reuse it on another car? Or do I need to buy a new license from Uprev?

Thanks.

The license can be re-used but must be un-installed from current vehicle. I think you need to contact Uprev.

Returning an ECU to stock
NOTE: This feature is currently only supported on Gen 2 ECUs (late 2004 and newer). Support will be added for older Gen 1 ECUs soon.
7.1.
To return an ECU to stock you simply need to use the latest version of Osiris and flash the ROM named “XXXXX Back To Stock.OsirisROM” where XXXXX is your ECU part number.
7.2.
Osiris will automatically transfer your license off of your ECU and put it back on your cable so it will be ready to flash your ECU later, or be transferred to another vehicle.
7.2.1.
If you are not sure if you have the correct version of Osiris just go to our support page and download the latest “Osiris Loader” update.
7.2.2.
If you need your Back To Stock ROM, please contact us and we will email it to you.

Even though it's to/from the same car, be sure to email Jared to get the correct ROM for the new car. Don't assume because it's the same year the same ROM can be used. Many have bricked their ECU's making this assumption.

yes..and as stated don't attempt to flash your car without at least confirming the ECU part number of your car and the car that it was installed on. Let UpRev know what mods you have installed so that they can supply the correct base tune. You will likely pay a nominal fee to get it matched to your car.

Not sure yet. Either GRD or Project X. Do you have any in mind?

Oh, no. I'm new here and I don't know what any of the shops around here are like. I need to take my Z in for something, so I was just interested in your opinions and reasoning, if any.

I've been to a "mini-meet" and Project X seemed to be highly recommended.

I wish the Chicago locals on forums were more active like the DFW guys.

Yes, Project X did all my performance works. I highly recommend them since they are also Z/G owners.

Winter is here so the forum is very slow besides a few douchebags didn't help either. It will pick up again in spring time.
