It is kind of odd but to double check I did put the computer into learn mode for the sensors and and my cruise worked at 80. Once computer went out of learn mode no cruise above 50.

 

Cool, so all you had was the standard osiris reflash? I have a Osiris reflash. Will this hopefully be all I need ECU wise?

 

No I do not have a standard reflash, it's a custom and it is set up for cars that already had cruise. So with my reflash it changed my computer to the point it was intended for cruise. You can read back on this forum and someone tells you what file is needed to change the computer.

 

well I took my car to Discount Tire and they reset the wheel sensors to the computer and no more tire light. As for the cruise it does not wotk in 6th gear above 50, but in any other gear it works fine. I do not understand!!!!!!!!!!

 

hey fla350tt im trying to get cruise also. do mind telling me what you did i got all the stuff listed. my audio stuff works, but my cruise and map switching does not. my tuner is emailing uprev. can you help me out here?

Did you reflash your computer with Osiris and a ev12a rom?

 

im finding that out right now. my tuner also emailed uprev. i have all the oem controls and switchs, the audio controls work, but no cruise or map switching

 

tuner said it is flashed with ev50b for my 08 hr
is ev12a rom the correct one?

 

well the ev50b rom is for a 08 z without cruise. this info is on the Uprev support page under documentation downloads, ROM support matrix. You would need a ev51a rom, most likely. If you look at this doc. it will show you all the roms, I really dont know anything about this just what I have delt with. Uprev can get you the rom, but I don't think they have looked into making cc work on base models.

well im going to get ev51a flashed in today, my tuner is scared he might brick the ecu. he is alittle worried. should i be also?

 

I heard from a tuner that some computers won't take certain reflashes but never heard of some one killing an ecu. If it doesn't take the reflash for some reason you can always put the stock one back into it. Hopefully the cruise works and you will be all set.

 

Tuner said that code is for a auto? Fml lol i just want cruise......

 

Oh and he also was talking to about vdc. He said he is not sure what will happen with that when he flashes my ecu. That shouldnt matter right since i don't have vdc to begin with?

 

It's hard looking up all this crap when driving/working. 51b is for manual, my bad. The VDC thing has not given me any trouble code and no one else has said anything so that no worry

 

well im not sure what he flashed but i can map switch now, but still no cruise. lol oh well one step at a time i guess. i will talk to him tomorrow about this.

As long as you wire it up correctly, it will work. All of the cruise control subroutines are shared between the ROMs.

Also in response to the "cal file" question, there is no calibration only file. A ROM contains 3 sections in it, the boot section describing reading and writing, a calibration section containing tables and values, and an operating system section containing information on how the ecu functions and accesses tables (that's the dumbed down explanation btw, so no one jump on me for missing information)
