Default Uprev Osiris tune - 350z 08 HR (AT) roadster

350Z HR with MINES test pipes / KNN drop in filters / Kakimoto Regu R exhaust.

All bolt on before tune is 234whp, after tuning - 257whp.

Anyone care to share if convert from rear whp to bhp is x1.25?

If you would like to convert from whp to bhp heres a way to get an approx ammount. For a Rwd car its about a 15% loss. It is usually more with a AWD car, anywhere from 18% to 20%.

ie: 330whp(Awd car) x 1.18= 389.4bhp approx.

Then of course bhp>whp just divide by 389.4bhp/1.18= 330whp.

So for my case i use 257whp x 1.15 = 296bhp?

Looks like about a 9 percent gain in peak horsepower. Pretty impressive for all motor.

Yes, I wasn't to sure at first because it seemed like a big difference between the two but I asked a buddy on mine just to be sure and he confirmed it. He's got a whole book on bhp and whp its some pretty interesting stuff

Hmm, if this is the case i am quite sad on my tune. By right stock jdm 350z HR should have 313bhp / 306 bhp but after my bolt on and tune only manage to squeeze 296bhp... Anyone could verify?

Because every dyno reads different you can't compare to stock numbers... what you should have done is what the OP did and have a before/after dyno chart on the same dyno on the same day... it's only way you can see your actual gains.

Ok From what you see from this attachment dyno do you think is a reasonable gain?

its a 15% loss for manual transmission thats why. For Auto is closer to 20-22%

It loses more power through the Auto transmission that the Manual does.
A MT HR ~ 260-262whp stock
A AT HR ~ 235-245whp stock

Just doing estimations and from what I Have read on some articles so I might be wrong, dont quote me

if you're really at 296whp in an '08HRAT I'd be happy.

that's nothing to frown about!

296 brake horsepower (257whp).

Although as others have said, it doesn't matter what the peak power is as long as you got good gains (which you did). The dyno that you used most likely just reads very low.

Only one note: the 39 and more kg/m at very low rpm are an "spike error" of the dyno...for sure !

Also on my test the dyno show a similar problem, so don't trust in that numbers.
Max torque is about 32 kg/m at 4500-5000 rpm in HR models.

+1 your car is currently one that gained the most from an uprev tune...

Can someone please explain how others are only getting a 4% gain from uprev with full bolt ons minus headers for the HR, and yet styy81 was able to get 9%? Surely those mods he had cant be that much better than the mods of other cars that got uprev tunes...

This looks about right. I had a base of somewhere around 244rwhp, then added mods in my sig and it dyno'd at 274rwhp...then after tune at 292rwhp on a close to a 100 degree day. I like that, but was more satisfied with how the car drove all around so much better. Loved the gain in throttle response!
