Default Boost Creep with Haltech?

On long boost runs up to 7k rpm, I get some boost creep from the set boost of 9.0 psi to about 10.5 psi. Below are my settings on my haltech. Any idea what to change to maintain steady boost?

Boost Setting 9.0
Proportional 75
Integral 25
Derivative 0
Control Start Pressure 7.0
Closed Loop Base Duty Cycle 25%

It is 530's, standard JWT kit. If that is normal, ugg. Any way to tune around it?

Are you able to run spring (wastegate) pressure with the EBC off?

why not just tune for it. extra 1psi at the big end just extends your trq curve and makes your car faster.

Where are you reading the 10.5? Is it in the haltech dash/log? Can you check what the output to the BC is?

If you are reading the 10.5 on an external gauge ( 2 map sensors, one to haltech, one to gauge) then there may be some differences between the two sensors/gauges.

The integral portion is used for removing error with time. Maybe increase it some?

External gauge, so I see what you are saying there.

I'll play around with the integral see if that makes a difference

Oh, and as for tuning for it, 10.5 on a stock block is pushing it, and not something I really want to do.

Sounds like it's time for a short block build. LOL

Good idea, but no. Too much money. My G is fun enough as it is.

You can't 'tune it out' but you can certainly tune around it. Just pull some timing above the boost level you aren't comforatble with. I have essentially the same turbos and have dozens of track passes peaking at 10-10.5 psi at times running a fairly aggressive tune.
