Default Uprev tuner. Can it reflash a new ECU?

I'm going to be needing this at some point [Uprev] so I was wondering IF I ever have to get a used ECU/ECM can I use the Uprev myself to re-flash, or does the car have to go to the dealer?

I know you buy the license from Uprev for your car only, but the car would still be YOU'RE car, just a different ecu.

I ask this question as I actually might need a new ECM. I've got one more part to try to get the engine to run, before I throw my arms up, and just buy a used ECM.

If I buy from Uprev, and send them my ECM, can Uprev test my current ecm, and determine if its bad?

If my current ecm was found to be bad, can Uprev reflash a new/used ecm if I have it sent to them.

Thanks.....also, is there anyone at Uprev you guys recommend, and maybe their extension phone number?

but if you do buy a used ecm, i think they do a mail in tune. you have to tell them all mods and stuff... don't hold me to that though

1 license 1 ecu!! If its married to ecu you either have to buy another license or un marry it from the orginal ecu.

+1 what Conway said. You only get one license with the kit so as long as you returned the first ECU to stock first (license goes back on the cable) yes you can reflash a new ECU.

Uprev CAN test your ECU to see if its good, but they're not going to do it for free. Custom tech support is $100/hr, I'm not sure what they would charge to check it out.

I highly recommend you don't do the mail in tune, it is extremely convenient to have the reflash cable yourself.
