Default Osiris Standard

Just purchased Osiris standard and got the cable Monday June 20th & sent my ecu # in that night and received a base tune. Even with the base tune I was pretty happy cuz my car was just in need of it. Friday night I did two 0 to 60 runs without no launch, bad idea?????? I emailed the two logs not knowing that I could view the logs on Cipher.....cuz i'm still new with it. In the email it said a few 0 to 60 runs or a 3rd gear pull to red line is all that's needed. If my logs are not good will i be asked to do the logs over again????

Thanks

To get a good tune you need all sorts of data WOT is only about 3-4% of a tune

Yeah like mentioned above mix it up! I know that uprev says to just do a couple of 0-60 wot logs, but my tuner has me make one driving around town (with all of the stop/go) and open road; usually 2nd through top of 3rd wot a couple of times (I usually go 7,500 rpms to top of 4th with it), etc.

So, I usually make about 3 different variety logs; uprev may say different, but I've made many Cipher logs when car was na and now boosted. I'm kind of lucky because about twice a year my tuner comes into town for a few days and we plug in his laptop/tuner software and hit the road for as long as an hour; he has me hold a certain rpm in different gears, says hit it at wot, cruise, etc. and checks out all parameters and #'s and when he's happy with it all I then have a new updated tune even if he tweaked it much or not it's still nice to know that the tune is looking good.

*I'd be glad to give you his #; may want to give him a try for your E-tunes.

Now i'm asked to tick these & do a 0 to 60 I think & log? Quick question does the Cipher log as soon as you click it to start? or do I gotta wait till it starts flashing "logging" ?

At first I was to tick these parameters but i'm not sure if Cipher was recording the logs as soon as I hit start.

When you hit start it goes. Just hit it and launch the poop out of it.

Yes like Conway said, but for "performance logging" (or whatever it's called) for the 0-60 logs; begins as soon as the wheels start to move.

Otherwise, you check all of your parameters (up to 20 I think) and at the bottom click "start logging" and it logs until you click it again "stop logging". So you can get it all set, click start and can get idle info. and anything in between your stop logging. Once you do it a couple of times it gets pretty routine; make sure to click "save" in the little box for each log or you lose it.

Looking at your highlighted parameter list, I'd also add: A/F corr. bank 1+2, Cal/LD value, Bank 1+2 Injector pulse, Intake air temp., MAF gm/s, MAS A/F, Accel Pedal POS, B-fuel schdl (ms), Ign. timing (btdc). *your tuner may want to shorten my list, but my tuner specified several more than UpRev suggested; not going to hurt to add these to your logs at all, just more good info. to be looked at.

You only have 2 items checked, that's all that was logged. Should have at least 15 checked. When it shows up in the little box highlight/save it, but you need the recommended parameters to log on almost any log that you make with Cipher). * Good idea to "clear learned fueling" before making log also.

Update did a few 0 to 60 runs & sent them in. Uprev notice that my base tune was running a little rich at 5k so they leaned it a little. I'm now waiting on a performance tune now.
