A bizarre note, I know I had ordered the 5/16 plenum spacer but they said they had to modify the strut bar to fit it, so that makes me think I received a 5/8, but anyway it’s installed.
If you're referring to the tuner as 'they' in this statement, this would make me concerned about the shop you used. You really shouldn't need to modify the strut tower brace itself when you add a plenum spacer. You can get the necessary clearance by adding spacers where the STB mounts to the shock towers.
Mustang dyno's read 12% low religiously. 188 x 12% = 210. Sasha Anus wrote the stock Z will put down..." we would find a stock non-revup 350Z to dyno around 205-210 whp on our Dynapack dyno," http://www.superstreetonline.com/how...vq-street-cam/
You're right where you should be. Guys are used to inflated numbers. Best to get a device that you can get a 0-60 time with and/or take it to the track cause in the end, that's all that matters.
My final tune with ALL possible bolt-ons + a real intake pipe. This is on a old Mustang dyno, the 1st MD500 in NC. It's as old as my FX (2003) and sounds like a tank while in operation. HUGE rollers and lots of'em. I'm putting down approx. 251 awhp/231 awtq. AWD losses are a ***** but no wheel spin, ever.

Sorry, to clarify, it was “they” from Z1, and it was indeed the wrong (thicker) spacer in the wrong kit, since they had to get new screws and strut spacers. And yes they did use spacers at the strut bar ends. I’m sure it was an inadvertent mistake.

So he told me to come to the shop and he would explain it all. Your words are pretty much exactly what he said. In fact he changed the settings on his dyno and it then read 255.8hp, but that is “inflated” he says.
By the way, it sounds and feels awesome! I’m not sure if anyone has put the APS exhaust on a na Z, but it kind of sounds sporty yet sophisticated, almost like a Hayabusa motorcycle or something like that. Really nice, no drone, not too loud, but after about 3000 rpm it opens up!
