Default Ex TT owners tempted.!!

Being an ex TT coupe owner myself I feel drawn to the styling ques and individuality of owning such a head turning machine.

I wonder if any TT owner 'turn coats' will be joining us..!! Are there any here?........silence, but I think not for long.
The TT is far too common, I actually pass 11 ever day on the commuter run along the M4 to Bristol, thats when I realised I just had to sell mine before the residuals were going to plumet

Well, if it consoles you in any way..

I've went from seeing 0 other Zs in my relatively small area, to about 7 other ones I see REGULARLY, all within a month.

Every "hot" car that's worth it's sault will be bought in numbers.

I'm not surprised... that's exactly what turned me off your current ride - the Porsche Boxster. They just end up too damn popular!!!

Unlike in the States, Nissan (or any of the Japanese manufacturers, come to think of it) doesn't have the same sort of followingin the UK, so maybe Nissan 350Z will = individuality.

We wait to see . We know it's going to be popular...

It always amazes me the the difference in opinions on the Honda Civic:
US = Tuning Platform, reasonably priced Custom Racer
UK = Granny's car, ideal runaround good for shopping

Well I must agree with you the Boxster is very common but you can't beat the residual value....now I sound sad, but I cant aford to loose loads of dosh otherwise I won't have a deposit for the next one

So, Have you managed to secure a build slot with your dealer?
I'm still trying, will ring him again tomorrow, he promised me a leaflet in the post...grrrrr

Imports seem to be well over priced, defeating the idea of buying cheap imports, you just know its going to hemerage dosh once the UK spec cars are launched.

I'm still getting the stonewall...

...but in a way, I prefer that, than a scam merchant biting my arm off to put the cash in his bank account & be guaranteed a sale, no matter what the spec & price.

You are right about the Porsche resale value. I got £4k over book for my 944S2 Cabriolet & made a good return on my RSK Spyder (even though it was a replica) - you know the one? 1958 model that inspired a lot of the Boxster styling cues.

The TT was wonderful and the Z will surpass it easily, as is the plan. Though, we do have to watch out for the new TT that comes out this/next year which has increased HP. I did hear rumours about a 300BHP TT coming out, though I bought a magazine at the weekend which said that the new TT will have less HP than the Z... however, the TT will have a much better interior! I'll dig it out and put some details up here... I think the article was a TT/Z comparison.

btw. I heard that there will only be a limited distribution of the Z in the UK, though this may be hype from the salesman. He said 2,000 initially, followed by 2,000/year with 30,000 expected for all of Europe! Take it with a pinch of salt.

Default TT 3.2 Quattro

Sweet Gearbox, 250bhp, 3.2l V6 and at an expected comparable price to the top of the range Z.
