Bryan, as a project manager I think you're right. It would help everyone, especially you, tremendously. You bust your *** for this event, you should have a bit more play time.
As for most people content with just sitting around. I have to admit I am one of those people for the most part. I get my driving in but I love the socializing. The problem is, I am sure you know, that you can't make everyone happy. If there are less events than someone is sure to want more. If there are more than you may not get the participation that would warrant all the work that is put into it.
Most of what I've heard is all positive. The important part is that the event gets better every year...so thank you and all that helped out!

And yet this year with good pipes and all, I am a finalist for "Worst Sound Exhaust"?
Anyone here heard Fujitsubo Legalis-R and think it sucks? I think it was a "Loudest" exhaust competition, not "Best Sounding", in which case of course I wouldn't win.

Suggestion - a sit down meeting with the clubs which sponsored the various events - get all that detail stuff out of the way and get everyone on the same page. That way they know where and when to be at the starting place for their event. And of course, more club involvement, and if not an actual club, a sign-up page on the web site for those who would like to volunteer some time. I know ZROC enjoyed the hell out of running registration - got to meet a ton of people and really made us feel a bigger part of a truly great event. Same with helping out earlier in the week since we got there Monday evening. And you can put us down for registration next year too (assuming we did not FUBAR anything up, lol) You are always going to have glitches come up - I think you handled them all extremely well (well, the ones I knew about anyway.)
Up here in Michigan, there's some interest in starting a Z Club. My goal is to pull this off and have decent representation at the next ZdayZ. I was so impressed by the Ohio and Florida groups that you could say I've been inspired. I guess we'll see how that goes for next year.
I know your tires were balling the whole time, LOL. I do the same thing when people ride with me:
"see that extra inch of asphalt there, use it. "
"Brake early here cause there is not enough to get woahed down before the next turn."
"yada yada yada"
I'm not if people get sick from my driving or my incesant yacking, LOL.

Most of my yacking is related to when I either do something right, or screw it up. (I try and make sure the student knows which is which.) If they go silent on me, I will talk to them just to make sure they are not freaked out.

I am working on some video now and hope to have it posted in less than an hour.

I would like some decent music to cover all my talking
, but I may just post it raw...*EDIT* computer issues= late tonight or tomorrow morning.

Yeah, that was definitely what it seemed to end up being. I was too preoccupied to enter, and when I did get around to driving up there, they were finished listening.
Either way, since the award was given to the loudest rather than the best, I wouldn't have stood a chance either.

They should build a tunnel for next years exhaust competition and everyone will discover the sound of Fujitsubo (and no, it doesn't sound like the Nismo!).

I entered last second since the line-up was right next to my cabin. Was a good time. I got to drive 40 in the parking lot and not get yelled at but I chirped going into 2nd on the final pass -- wanted to get into 2nd before I ran out of room, but tried to hard.
