ZdayZ 2009
lol
Matt I feel ya. I used to AutoX the Lightning. I went to an AutoX put on by some miata group. There was a set of cones that the truck simply wouldn't fit through. I even pulled out the tape measure to prove it. They didn't want to concede that they were wrong, so every pass I punted to two damn cones into the next county. "f" them.
They overheated too soon for me too.
I think that's me, but I still haven't done the road course thing...yet. I do at least two days of autocrossing/month sometimes 4 or more. And our venue is a bit fast for autocrossing, the courses are about a mile long and often have me deep in third...just before I have to stand the car on her nose for a turn.
Blue Z, skinny blond wife, (BTW, she started autocrossing and she is the fastest novice I have ever seen.)

That is a nice course. That's the type of course that better suits the Z. Opened up with room to run a bit. The locals here are fans of pivot cones, chicago boxes and really tight decreasing distance slaloms...mostly due to the fact that the lots they could get were generally fairly small and restrictive.

This is an open call for help. I have to go back to FVR this weekend and finish the TSD routes and Poker run route. I need a navigator to assist and take notes of street signs and stuff. It aint hard work, it aint glorious work, but I need to get it done this weekend.
The pay sux = $0
The hours suck = all day in a car with me
The roads are great = most of y'all haven't seen these before
PM if you are interested, I'll cover the room for the night and lunch on Saturday (papa's pizza, LOL)
I plan on heading up Friday night or possibly Saturday, either way it will take all day to do the driving, look forward to about 300 miles in the truck with me

You know I would be right there with you, I am hooked to that place now. Only thing is I would insist on driving the race car, and you could take notes.
Only problem is the 1k mile one way commute. Its a killer.

That's nothing. Don't talk to me till you've taken out a Timing Light Box.

YOu can drive it, just come on down. Looks like I'm getting a 2 bedroom cabin since the S2000s have all of the lodge rooms. Anyone want to roll up and help me put the S2000s in thier place?
Have fun this year everyone. I'll be back there for sure in the not so distant future
It was an Azealea (sp?) 3 Bedroom, which I requested to be right next to good ole Blasian, lol. I cancelled it yesterday, so feel free to give them a ring and ****** it up if its still available. Only one other person PM'd me regarding it and they never responded after I PM'd them back so it might still be available.

I saw all the talk about tires back there. LOL @ me having the same Falken FK452s I had last year at Zdayz (albeit not brand new anymore). 275/40/18 and 245/40/18 for me. They are okay in the rain and grip nice in the dry, and they are WAY cheaper than Toyos lol. I think I have 20k miles on this set, 15k at least. Next year I am going to need new rear but the fronts shall survive.
