And Lightning....do you plan on putting anything back in? Lol, I'd hate to drive my car like that.
Ah, no. Nothings going back in. Matter of fact there is more coming out. Just need to find the time to do what I need to do the car. I have parts laying around, just no time to get around to it.

I am waiting on graham and sharif to sort things out. They are wasting days at this point. I need details so I can spread the word to other places as well, like twin turbo dot net and hybridz dot org. those guys are some serious drag racers. several 8, 9, and 10 second cars hanging out on those forums.

Bryan, I don't think the wife will go for that idea of stripping out the car.

I would love to get the car down to 3000 lbs even, though.

The three best bangs for the buck on weight reduction:
battery
test pipes
hatch/lexan, that should get you close.

I still have all of the stock sheet metal, and added a bunch of weight with the rollbar, widere tires, cheap wheels, thicker radiator, 5 quart oil cooler, -AN lines on just about everything, and still under 2850, so it can be done and very liveable.

What's the approximate dry weight of your Z?

I weighed mine a couple weeks ago with a half tank, 19" Work Meisters, my travel bag, & whatever miscellaneous crap in the cubbies/ storage & it it came out as 3210lbs.

Nice! I'm curious to see how much weight is possible to shave total from the car.

Someone made a thread about it. Don't remember though. Search for it somewhere in the tech section.

Stay tuned for details. We are still working details out, but Thursday will more than likely be an all day affair for competitors. Observers will be free to come and go all day.
