Lol - not sad at all. There are many pull offs along the parkway. This one is not at the top. I stopped because I saw a beautiful light through the clouds. Too bad all I had with me was a HD video camera to snap this pic.

Especially when half the car got sick an hour into what became a 5 hour drive. The drive should be a 6-7 hour course once we checkout a few more sections, depending on time spent stopping at waterfalls & for lunch. Tommarrow im taking a proper sports sedan to inspect a few more roads. Having a blast on these roads despite the lack of my Z! I cant wait to come back in MAY.

Side note our group this year should be very nice. The ones that say they are comming will include a : G35 sesdan, Z31, Z32, Z33 (me), Z34 and a MINI Cooper S (he will be rebadged Nissan though he doesnt know it yet).
have you checked on the 37 thread yet? I believe there are about 5 G37's planning on coming up from FL.

There's always at least a dozen G's at Zdayz every time I go. You won't get lonely, Lance.

No I hadnt. I guess I need to come up with a route & schedule so if any want to join us they can. My only concern is I know some of the caravans are known to roll hard & I dont really speed, only 6 or 7 over. Im sure this would make following my group lessdesireable. Any will be welcome to join if they want though.

Meeting points will likely be Panama City, Dothan, Phenix City, and Maybe ATL. I will post a map with meetup points as soon as possible. Cant wait to see everyone.

I'm sure they'll be fine following. Its always tons more fun being in a huge group of modified cars that you know. I don't see us speeding much coming from MN knowing how my trip was on the way home from purchasing my car from Atlanta. I hit about 3 speed traps on the way home, got a ticket in Illinois at 4 am. The cops thought I stole the car since it has GA plates still on it, and all I had was copies of the bill of sale/purchase agreement.

There's always a caravan from Tampa that meets up with Jacksonville people. Maybe you can join them.

Surprised this wasn't in the OP...

The best produced ZdayZ vid I have seen.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbY1V70MLUc

And a bunch more from last year here.

I just built a decent computer that can handle HD, so I might revisit some of the HD stuff I sort of gave up on over the last two years.

Yall don't mind if I show up on a bike do ya?

I just got my first Z and it's a serious debate as to which to take this spring to the gap. In the past I have made trips with MC groups such as this

http://s1047.photobucket.com/albums/...view=slideshow

We stayed at the kickstand lodge right down the road from Fontana etc.

Good event for a few years but kinda died out. I'm looking to come to this! may be on 2 wheels, may be on 4...

^^ Of course no one will mind if you bring a bike instead of the Z. But you definately want to stay at Fontana to take advantage of all the things going on, the new friends you will meet and the parties spread everywhere. ZdayZ is more about the interaction with each other than the Dragon alone. As for bike vs Z, some of the events (like the poker run) might be harder on a bike due to needing to read directions.

At first I'm thinking " dude! Great idea! " and it quickly led me to " well if I was in the Z with a trailer on those rodes then the trailer and the bike would get thrown off a cliff

After considering for a while what determines the ride will be the weather. If a significant amount of rain is forecasted I will be riding under a roof!

Thanks for the hospitality guys I think imma love this site
