Z vs. Z
Okay heres a clip of two Z's that mysteriously appeared on my desktop.
Red Z has Nismo cat back,Popcharger and 5/16" MD spacer 04 6MT Enth
Silver Z has Popcharger, TP, Mrev, Y-pipe, Sun Hyper Voltage Sys. 05 6MT Tour
From 2nd gear about 40mph till top of 4th.

that passenger cost them an easy 20hp
and i wouldnt say that the red car "had less mods"
test pipes + y-pipe flowing through a crappy stock muffler would probably generate the same results as a better catback, and the spacer is basically the mrev.
actually i take ALL of that back. he had his car wired to the sun.

yeah, I figured the test pipes V. the Nismo exhaust is a toss up so they wol;d be equal. I guess the passenger could be that big a diference?
Just wanted to know if the cars as stock were diferent. If the silver was Auto maybe , or a revup etc.

plus you can't possibly assume that both of the drivers are shifting at the same rpm and that they do so equally quickly
i really think one of the best indicators of how much shifting matters is the gran turismo games. play your ghost in the 1/4 mile attack and you'll see. one little shift can make or break the **** out of your ghost or you. its the same in real life. granted they probably don't take power curves into account too much, much of the variables are constant (wind resistance, shifting speed, power, weight, etc)
****, im sure most of you guys have seen the video of the altima se-r vs. the z. that's an extreme example, but it's still an example.
you can't nitpick small hp mods too much when some leaves covering your radiator could cost you the same power in return

Silver Z is mine. its not auto. it was a good run and Omar's Z is fast but you can pretty much guess where im running lean. We dynoed our Z's on the same day and his AF is perfect unlike mine which was dying for fuel. Anyhow, once i fix the problem we will post more vids.

just curious, I've been wondering if anyone has run similarly stock or modded, rev up vs. the 287 motor, and if the 06 weight issue kills it a little. I'm trying to decide what Z to look for.

Yes, we will be having some more fun in the future. As of right now my car is a little bit faster, but G is a better driver and makes up for it. Need to work on my shifting! Although the last run we did I was in rare form and shifted very very well. Without passengers we are even as even can be, member that time on Battlefield G? Wonder what the outcome would be over where we were this time.
