i believe real HP was around 1050. The next version (GT) is supposed to get close to 1200HP i think to up the ante to around 270-275mph or something like that. Very impressive indeed...
As far as rappers not getting their hands on it, it is true that Bugatti selects the buyers of these cars...
But then again, so did Ferrari with the buyers of the Enzo, and I know of one rapper/producer who has one now... so I guess it is only a matter of time...
Maybe we will see Wyclef spring for one to join his McLaren F1 and Pagani Zonda...

yea...i would like to see a race of a mclaren f1 and veyron. Then i would like to sit in my Z and bash my head on the plenum of the va for more power..maybey the air collectors being dented will give me more power
