I am going to actually take it to the track for a TNT. Just to see for myself, but IMO, a bad launch in my Z and I won't get the ground back.
You'd rip a tundra a new one. I raced a hemi ram from a dig a while back, by 2nd gear he was at my rear bumper, top of third he was in my rearview. And those have 345hp, not 271 like the tundra

lol!!!

those chevys are fast as hell though when the are modded. i have a friend with a nissan sentra spec v and i raced him with my old truck(99 gmc 5.3) stock. and the damn thing would stay right on him. i then spent $2,500 on mods. headers, deleted cats, chip, granetelli mass air flow sensor, full exhaust air intake etc. we then went to the track and it ran a 14.8 ... was beating 94-98 mustangs all night. and this was an extended cab. man i wish i had pictures of it... totaled it

CAI, header,CBE,throttle body ported, lightweight crank pulley, S1 JWT cams, knock sensor relocated (over-sensitive in the first few years, it would pull timing for no reason) It dyno'd 173whp and 172wtq

Thats not bad, but at the same time kinda sucks. Wouldnt you think that a 2.5 liter 4 banger wouldve responded a little better to mods with all that stuff. Kinda disappointing! Nice torque number though I guess, wouldnt mind seeing the dyno graph if you could pm it to me.

Yeah, it did kinda suck. A buddy of mine with similar mods ran a 14.3 @ 96mph before he totalled it though, decent time for a N/A 4 banger. If I had my dyno graph I'd PM it to you no problem, but I tossed all that stuff out when I bought the Z

im gonna assume the cams gave you the biggest power gain

I had a friend with an 03 spec V with a CAI and header and the best either of us could manage was 15.5 which is no better than stock.

Cams were good for only 8whp on the dyno, but definitely made the car pull much harder all the way to redline...I was getting mid 2.1 60' at the track as well
