I don't know how manly I would feel after getting beat by a mini cooper ...

 

LOL i think the new mini cooper with the JCW kit look quite beefy. Especially in a dark grey or black colour. And i think the mini cooper S was stock aswell!

 

wow, love the music... i wonder if the driver of the cooper pumps them spanish beats when cruising in his mini

 

no way that cooper is stock.

That was an auto z though.

 

Auto Z with an AEM intake, so it was slower than stock. Didnt know the mini's were that quic know...

The Cooper S in the video is stock. Its the new 07 model that comes stock with a turbo but like the bmw 335i it is under rated.

It has around 200bhp at the crank from the dynos people are getting so the power to weight ratio with the Zed are pretty equal as the mini only weighs around 1100kg.

 

at least some one acknowledges this rather than bashing on the mini!

^ hmmm no one really is bashing the Mini. Mini's are quick cars...my friend has one of the 1st Mini's to hit the states, which is somewhat freakishly faster than all other Mini's, he insists its euro-spec but whatever. Last month a new Mini (turbo) was trying to race me, sounded mean as heck...loud exhaust and sweet rims. The guy could not have been anymore stupid though...as we where on the biggest/main street in town (packed with cops), If not i would have been a different story.

 

those mini's are quick and do well in the canyons I had one keep up with me fairly well in the malibu canyons.........

 

Minis are nice cars. My fiance is looking at one. We also saw a Twin charged(S/c and turbo) mini on ebay putting down 300+. Pretty neat set up.

Fast or not, for some reason I can't take mini's seriously. Whenever I see one on the road I think of Mr. Bean driving one.

i see where your coming from i think the front end is to cute and a lil girly, but hey i think the same about the front of the new 07's. That smile they seem to have, lost the meaness of the car i guess.
