Default Bad rep for us 350Z guys... WTF???

Maybe a repost... but...

These guys needs to get their facts straight... the 350Z isn't even on Forbes Top 20 Most Dangerous Vehicles. But this guy is making it sound really bad for us. Look at the 2nd sentence on the right too... 'Nissan 350Z most unsafe car'... but as he said... IT'S NOT THE CAR! ITS THE FRIGGIN DRIVER!

http://www.fastlanedaily.com/episode/fld_20070731

and whats up with his 'air quotes' for loads of power for the 350Z... like he's mocking it...

I don't know if Z drivers are mostly young these days. I think that those Z drivers that wreck their cars are mostly young. I think that was what the article was trying to say.

young kids love the Z because it's more bang for your buck than any other sports car in its class as far as a balance between performance and bragging rights goes, imo. and unfortunately, when you're young, you're stupid. we all were. but this article will not make me think any less of my beloved 350z, especially when I got a hot blonde in the passenger seat ;-).

Yea blame the parents buying a 16 year old a 300hp Z for their first car. Then they wreck it. #1 reason why you see alot of Z's totaled on here.

Almost every 350z owner I have met is within 2 years of my age and most are my age (23). I was just talking about this with some fellow Z owners the other night. We all seem to be around the same age with a few exceptions of course.

That' not the case around 2003 - 2004. Simple fact is, the Z has been out in the market for awhile and depreciation has made these cars available to younger drivers.

Much to my own shock I've been eyeing the bmw 3 series coupe lately partly for this reason. It just appears more civilized and grown up.

No, its mostly 90% of the time young kids that are wrecking the cars and this forum is proof enough of that. I never see older people wrecking them.

I do agree with age comes wisdom or ignorance.
Yes young people do have a tendency to be more ignorant than those of age but my point is young or old people make stupid driving decisions that sometimes cost them there lives.

You never see older people wrecking them.......Click on the link to my clubs home page and you see a friend of mine and fellow member of this and many 350Z sites.

Was believed to be racing a Charger when he lost control and was ejected from his Z...not wearing a seat belt
