I think the ECU was learning and that the motor does better once it gets hot. I still think the cams added most of the gains; however it was hard to prove with the way we dynoed the car. If we would have had time I would have liked to pull off the stillen airboxes again to try running the cams.

What did you dyno at when you were stock and when you installed your greddy exhaust (if you did it on the same dyno)?

GTM N/A Cams/Stillen Intake/Greddy EVO TT/Turbo XS Test Pipes 274 (Latest)
Greddy EVO TT/Turbo XS Test Pipes 263
Greddy EVO TT 255
Stock 245

Dyno for the latest was on a four wheel Dyno Dynamics Dyno.
Dynos for the previous three was on a two wheel Dyno Dynamics Dyno.

Based on the test dynos between the two they were within just a couple of HP the same. No car is always the same reading from day to day.

Temp/time of day were very different on my runs as well. Old runs were at night in the spring and the latest was mid-afternoon in the summer.

Overall a good gain.

We can not do an overlay since the dyno charts for the old runs was on the old dyno.

Does the 4 wheel DD read lower than the 2 wheel DD (just curious)? The gains on the HR are pretty impressive . To get #'s like this on the DE you would have to spend more than you already put into your HR (you really didnt spend that much either). I cant wait to see that a good pair of headers will do for the HR. I think I may be trading my 03 and go for an 07.

These numbers are very nice and thanks for keeping us updated on everything. I can't wait to see what the addition of headers and a dyno tune would do to the HR. It seems that with a very good tune 300+ should be possible. Do you have any plans on having the ECU flashed?

The 2w and the 4w dyno is calibrated using the same car at the factory. They read the same. If anything maybe a couple of HP off which is nothing when it comes to dynos.

I had talked with Technosquare at one point; however with the ECU out I would not have been able to operate the covertible top while it was at the body shop. It would have taken several weeks to get a program developed since the ECU would have had to go overseas. I don't know if they ever found a ginea pig.

I am currently looking at going FI in the spring.

Man that looks promising. Can't wait to see that the VQ37hr will do, and what parts us DE owners can use off the HR motors. Congrats on a sweet ride.

That Green Z is terrible. Why did you pick a roadster if you are trying to make this car "fast"?

Unimpressed thus far with the gains.

I will make the car fast even with the extra weight. Period.

As to why a roadster - two reasons. I have already built a coupe (that got totaled) and my wife wanted a drop top.

You don't have to explain yourself to this idiot. Your car is incredible and you should be proud of it. There will always be guys who hide behind their computer and put everything down. Just consider him as a troll and move on.

Keep up the good work and keep us informed on the progress.

For those following this thread, I have listed a complete mod list with pictures of the completed car in the media share forum:

I was a little skeptical of the green when J first mentioned it. But seriously, you have to see the car in person, driving down the road....IMHO...it looks INCREDIBLE!! And it is done in a very high quality manner....everything works together nicely.

Rogue350z, I really appreciate the before and after dyno runs you've shown of the greddy evott exhaust. I'm also looking to get the evott exhaust for my 07, but i've been looking everywhere for sound clips of the evott exhaust. I would greatly appreciate it if you could post sound clips of your car.

I never said I didn't value the information provided, but I am Unimpressed at the gains, and Even more so with the car selection. You can disagree all you want, but it doesn't make you more right than I am.
