Will the new HR intake(one of them that is) work on our DE cars? If not what can we do to make it work? I understand the intake plenium is different, anything we can do to use it for our advantage? Thank you.

 

What are the possibilities of putting a VQ35HR (or a VQ37HR) into an earlier model G or Z?

I know this is a difficult question to answer now. I've read so many places that the new HR engines are taller (higher deck height) that they won't fit in a G or Z. I can't imagine that it would really be that difficult to fit one in. You might need a taller hood...

 

^^ jb, heard this would not be cost effective to do just yet.

Sharif, I cant wait to see what kind of power those GTM NA cams produce. i would like to acheive 300rwhp in my 07 and need those cams...

Looks like we are still another two weeks out from installing the motor doing the dyno.

Delays at the bodyshop.

Sounds like a nice "little" project. Keep us update(I am sure you will) I really want to see the HR on the dyno with the cams.

^^ Im sure as soon as that motor is dynoed they will post results. You should throw an intake on there as well:

Test Pipes
Exhaust
GTM NA Cams

^^This combo could very well be 300rwhp on a dynojet!

I also heard there was some type of reflash in the works...

 

Stillen Intake is going on the car. Probably do one with and without the intake.

Maybe early next week, maybe in two weeks. Schedule is moving around right now. Might do the motor before the audio. Waiting on the body shop to see if I can pick up the car body on saturday.

Car will be going to FORGED tomorrow minus the interior to get the motor/trans/wheels installed. Along with some suspension goodies. Should have a dyno by mid week.
