Well that and I noticed the intake pipe gets really really HOT so I decided to use some high temp paint hoping to brign the temp down a bit.

Hi-Temp paint will not bring down the temps of the intake. It is only hi-temp to not flake off hot parts.

Got mine yesterday and installed them. Took about 2 hrs (Took my sweet *** time) and I didn't take off the strut bar. No problems at all.

A couple of notes: In a couple of the steps, I have no idea why, they have the driver and passenger sides mixed up. A minor pain in the *** at most, just follow the pictures.

I found installing the breather hoses easier by removing the plastic parts from the car, connecting the parts to the new breather hose, and installing each intake tube complete with all of these hoses/parts attached.

Also, I wrapped the intake tubes with good 'ol kitchen plastic wrap before trying to move them into place. Worked really well to keep the paint from scratching.

The sound? Noice! At idle and normal driving, the sound isn't noticeable. But when you get to about 3500 rpm you can notice there's something different, a bit deeper sound. At WOT, it howls like a raped ape! Didn't notice any whistling or anything like that.

Oh, and are these filters washable? If so, how do you wash them? Never dealt with air filters like these before.

if the filters are dry flow like the ones that AEM has then they are washable. AEM has solutions for it. but again i dont have the nismo intakes so don't take my word for it.

I want one of these in my Z, its a 08. I am sure the fit is the same, but do they throw off any CELL warnings? I know some said no but after putting on a few hundred miles maybe weather changes or anything in that nature.
