Default Update on CEL w/Test Pipes

Well I just wanted to report to you guys who plan on adding test pipes to your 07 in the near future. I did the non fouler mod + stuffed steel wool. Been about 600+ miles now and the engine light is still off

thx vitviper for the fix

NP.

My car tossed a CEL late night about 2 nights ago, p0430. This was after like 1500 miles. I cleared it, and 100 miles, no CEL. Guess the car had a hickup haha

Eh, if I have to reset the ecu every oil change it doesn't bug me lol

Once an EMU comes out for the 07 we can turn those codes off.

Fast Intentions test pipes. Doesn't really matter as far as the CEL is concerned, they can all throw them. FI makes some great exhaust products tho.

Somehow I knew the antifoulers were only a temp fix in delaying the P0430/P0420 codes. How many miles Gooey? Probably over 1k? Guess you'll be resorting to resetting the CEL every so often (better than 50 miles tho).

Hey viper maybe you can help me.

I'm not all that up on ECU's and tuning and reflashing and etc. etc. etc.

What exactly does the ecu do when you put test pipes on the car? Does the computer try to compensate somehow because of flow or emissions or something? I'm just wondering because after i threw my pipes on, it felt good for a while... 3 days after the light came on it felt just a little bit choppier so I reset the computer. Now it feels good again?

Another thing, I've never installed test pipes. I love all the nice sounds I can hear now and I do really love my fast intentions test pipes as well. I'm just curious, when you rev up your car while sitting now, when the rpms start to drop under 2k, does the car like sputter or sound a little choppy to you?

I figured it's normal because of the change in flow. But i just wanted to see if yours does the same thing.

Thanks

EDIT: off subject but, what size tires you running on the street in the rear?

wtf how are you guys getting so many miles...
i did the non-foulers & put some fine steel wool inside, after 48 miles the light came back on...

now i didnt use a lot of steel wool, i didn't know if too much would be a bad thing? i put enough in there to cover that little hole at the bottom.

still... arent people getting more miles w/o steel wool?

48 miles!? wtf...

I stuffed it til it started popping out in allsides. then I put the foulers on a vice and screwed each other in tight as I can. I put a good handful of steel in it
