Warmmilk- I hope you didn't take my previous post as rude, you always have good posts and I was just asking.
no worries

(Evo specific) Dynos on Evos have proven this. Two equally sized turbos (one TS, one SS)... the TS has a much better powerband than the SS but falls off earlier up top. SS is still better for top end power (drag racing, highways), but the TS is teh winnar for road racing, daily drivabilty, etc.

they moved it to august unfortunately... hopefully they will have done enough R & D to where they can tell us estimated power that the hr could handle and hopefully it is high number with low boost.

is there anyone that will be coming out with internals around that time or before then to safely support high boost apps?

420 rwhp is considered to be "pushing the DE moter"

510 on a stock block? Id have to see it to believe it. Still sounds pretty cool nonetheless.

With the extra redline there I could see it. They'd have to get some good breathing turbos though.

VQ35HR internals and block are alot different than the VQ35DE junk. 500whp is entirely possible in my opinion.

It has nothing to do with the raised redline... it has to do with them pushing more boost out the box to make that power.

Let's hope so. With the extra bracing on the block, longer rods, etc., it SHOULD be possible. Only thing that worries me a bit is the raised compression from the DE to the HR.

How are you so certain is has nothing to do with a raised redline.

More redline = more power assuming you keep the engine breathing up top.

7500/6600 = 1.136 more rev range, which should mean about that much more power than a DE given the same efficiency and boost levels....even more because of the higher compression and more efficient design of the intake manifold.

I do expect they are running more boost, but also making more power per psi of boost....

isnt there only a .3 difference in the compression ratio form the de to hr?
