My 07 Z is back at the dealer for the slave cylinder problem, complaint filed.....
After 9K miles, and very little effort on the dealers part, to get the problem fixed, I finally had to drop it back off with them. The problem is so bad now, it's causing the clutch to slip daily.
I first reported that the pedal was still going to the floor, after it was repaired back at 11,500 miles. Then I was told that they would contact me when the Nissan Rep was in town, so he could look at the problem. Well, that day came and went, with me calling in between, and their excuse was that he was too busy to get to my car. A few months later, the problem is getting worse, and it's taking a toll on my clutch. I still get the same response, so yesterday I finally called them, and told them I was bringing the car in, that they would have to fix the problem, as it had become a safety issue now.
So I am at the dealer this morning, and I am told that they don't really know what to do, because they replaced the slave cylinder and followed the directions installing the new one. I asked if it was possible the new one was bad, or it was installed wrong. They said, "I don't think so, we followed the instructions".
I told them I was going to leave it with them, as it was not right, and I should probably call NNA, if they couldn't fix it. The service advisor told me I probably should, as it may speed up the repair.
I expected a rental car, since the part is covered under warranty, as they had provided last time, but it was not offered this time.
So, I called NNA, filed a complaint about the repair, dealer and problem. I also told them I was without a car as a result. They told me the dealer should have provided a rental car, given the situation, and not put me off like this. NNA also suggested that the repair may have been done improperly by the dealer. Either way, they promised to put me in touch with the local rep tomorrow, to get my car on the road to being repaired. I was given my file#, and a contact person to follow up with, as the case progresses.
Anyone with the clutch pedal drop issue, I highly suggest you report it to NNA, so they are aware how widespread the problem is.
I told both the dealer and NNA that is was very furstrating to buy a new car, and have the same issue, with no resolution, for 20K miles. The dealer didn't seem to be too concerned, but NNA did. We'll see.
I will give updates on the progress.

I've only had one clutch drop since I got my new slave 8.5k miles ago... and it was with only 300 miles on the new clutch (still breaking it in), I rode it too hard and by 3rd gear it was slipping so bad it finally stuck the pedal to the floor. That was out of about a dozen launches on the street (just a country road I was testing it on, not going faster than 50, more than enough to check for the problem).
Since then no problems... About 600 miles ago I ditched my dampener and ran motul through the line... out of 7-8 launches last night not a single one dropped, even after slipping the clutch enough to get a strong whiff of burning clutch. Pedal didn't hesitate once to come up (as it often did when I originally took the car into the dealer -- it would get stuck halfway almost every launch).
My point... sounds like you got another bad slave (that and they never replaced your flywheel/clutch/pp like they did for me).

This is pretty suspect. Two of the dealers I have spoken to claim to have no knowledge of an existing problem with the 07 clutches but from what I read on the forum, Nissan is well aware of the issue and apparently working on a fix. These Baltimore nissan dealers are shady.
I spoke to my dealer parts rep when it happened here and told him to watch for it on the 6MT G37's since they use the same parts, but I don't know how far that actually made it up the ladder.
If it happens again on my car, I'll definitely be calling NNA so it goes on record that the "fix" was only temporary.

yeh the more the problem comes up hopefully the closer we will get to a TSB. I have only launched my car hard a few times at the track but the clutch still sucks b@lls as far as clamping power goes. For a performance car you would expect them to give us a clutch with a little more bite.
Who is NNA?My dealer has had my nismo z for 2 weeks now, telling me that they will not cover my burned up clutch and flywheel at 4125 miles after my clutch stuck in traffic. The service writer claims I raced the car. They claim that there is no problem with the slave cylinder, because thay didn't see any leakage.

Us 6MT G35 sedan owners have had this issue also. I'm hoping not to see it on my '08 though.

Call them. They are aware of the problem.
I went back this evening, and they put me in a rental car, and supposedly a Nissan Tech is coming down tomorrow. It took some griping, but at least I have a way around now, as my wife needs the Armada.

Take it to another dealer... they cannot prove that you raced the car... I would even go as far as pay to have the transmission dropped to prove them otherwise. call 1800NISSAN1 and file a complaint. call untill they get tired of your phone calls... someone got to hear you.

No way I will take the car back to my dealer after the way I have been treated.
YEeeaahh... can't wait for this to start happening to me
I'll be parking my Z for the winter in a week or two. Hopefully by the Spring they have come up with a fix and they issue a TSB or something. This sucks.

As did I...They were VERY helpful and didn't really ask any questions...I have not had one problem since my car was there.
I filed a complaint with a Nissan of North America, according to the rep that responded, there are no bullitins,no recalls and no known problems with the clutch on 07 350Zs.They will not warranty my clutch.
