Hey guys I have an 07 bought it in march of 07 and I had the slave clinder replaced due to the recall and the tranny replaced due to the tranny loud chatter it was really loud and my clutch catch really high also but it did that when I burnt my clutch one time. After a awhile the tranny noise came back like a loud chatter and the dealler say it's normal and the reginal also say it's normal but it's just too loud and disturbing. Should I make a file? Or is it normal in the 350z?

Hey I just bought a 2008 350z and I noticed that the clutch catches REALLY High.. My tranny also makes a noise when I'm shifting at times... What's the deal...? Why is the clutch catch so damn high.. I've never driven a car like this...

I love the Z... But is there anything that can be done to fix that nonsense..!? I have 250 miles on it... lol =)

Thanks for all of the info. Any more info on this? I just bought a 07 Z, I gave the vin# to the dealer, and they said there is no recall for this vin. I don't experience loss of pressure or the cluth sticking to the floor, but I feel the chattering at lights sometimes, and a loud clunk sound going from 1st to 2nd.

I just read a few pages of this thread. Though I am not experiencing some of the problems you all are I am still experiencing some loud chattering of the cluthc/tranny when the clutch is disengaged. As far as pressure I feel that the pressure is fine and the clutch grabs when the pedal is almost all the way out. Is this normal?
As far as the noise...is this fixable w/an aftermarket clutch put in?

Got the Z in December, already have clutch issues. I took it to Team Nissan in Marietta, GA and they told me that there was nothing wrong with it and that what more than within Nissan's limits for clutch play. 5 days later clutch completley gave out and had not fluid in it what so ever. Nissan also refuses to admit that my car qualifies for the issue even though my VIN is in range. Now the corporate office escalated my issue, and told me to take it to Nissan to prove that it was a miss diagnosis on thier part.

I got my 08 manual base 350z last summer and definitely have the clutch issue. It is most noticeable when launching the car moderately or slipping the clutch just a bit too much, very delicate system it seems, but I will be replacing my slave and master with the aftermarket heavy duty ones along with a new clutch and flywheel.

I bought my current Z off of a previous my350 member. I don't think he had the TSB work done and the VIN definitely falls into the recall. FWIW I was doing a good boost run and when power shifting the clutch dropped on me, that was the only instance thankfully. In the process of a motor build right now and goinig to go with the ZSpeed Master and CSC heavy duty replacement kit. The heck with clutch problems, I never had any issues on my previous VQ35DE Z's so this is a new and unwanted experience -_-
